Well, ****. What a b****. I was hoping for that b*stard, El Niño, to show up (pardon my French). We're doomed! Can't we warm up that water somehow? Do we have any neutron bombs in some government warehouse, left over from the Reagan era? Relatively low radiation, big BOOM. Warm water, maybe some dead fish. How about it, folks? Anyone up for an experiment? After we do it, I have a "Ban the Neutron Bomb" button I can wear in protest (I have both bases covered!). It's in Dutch, but understandable.

Actually, neutron bombs are the opposite of what you describe - small boom, lots of radiation to maximize fatalities.

Of course, you weren't serious in the first place....

Ah, but they were warm, no? Plus, we might get a freaky critter out of the deal, one that glows in the dark. I was dead serious about the button, however. I picked it up in Amsterdam back in the day and I always wear it on Halloween, on the lapel of my tux, a classic from the 1940's that I traded an old recliner for.

I always thought they called you "subtomic" because you were less than a Tom. Who knew?

Wow..."dead serious?" Not the words I usually associate with a Dutch anti-nuke button. I promise to never again doubt you when you make claims of owning such a unique piece of flair ;)

I don't think anyone actually calls me subtomic. Mostly they stick with "that guy over there."

All of Central Texas is under another NWS "red flag" fire warning. Shouldn't be as windy as the Labor Day wknd, but everybody be careful.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...
THERE WILL BE ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND BREEZY
WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH.

HUGE change in temps today. It's so nice outside. It was in the 70's till about 1pm. Not we're around 85. Cool breeze, feels amazing.

Just saw the the Houston mayor is considering banning SMOKING in the city's parks.

If you're seen...ticket you? Not sure. It's something they'd have to pass though I'm sure. It's coming up because of the fire dangers, and they think the George Bush fire started from a cigarette.
