Assuming I'm one of the two reasons your panties are currently in a wad- I proudly received my degree from Texas Tech University and have never worn a piece of UT apparell in my life.

With that in mind, would you like to continue this debate with actual discussion or are you going to continue to disintegrate into childish name calling from here on out?

Look stopping being a moron and trying to compare a single time when UH had some attention, let's get the average draw of an average game.

You are reaching so far that you might be able to scratch Mack Brown's ass all the way from your house in Houston.

Sorry to crap all over your hater parade bro, but them's the facts. You want em, I brought em. Any time UH plays a Big 12 team, they bring serious weight in the Houston market. Comparable to UT and A&M. Sorry that bothers you so much.

Of the 16 listed match-ups, Tech is involved in 3 of those while UofH is only involved in one.

perhaps why UofH's sole appearance has more to do with the lift provided by its matchup against Tech than UofH's involvement itself. ..

No, they don't....UT and A&M bring more of the Houston market than UH.

You got nothing but destroyed.......CASE CLOSED !

This list does not include games on FSN (where UH games are broadcast), only games on ESPN/ABC, of which TTU happened to be Houston's only ESPN broadcast that year (ESPN 2, actually, which is even more amazing considering the numbers it pulled in the timeslot it was... a game that ended well after midnight).

There is indeed a boost provided by Big 12 teams, it's local... it matters. Put A&M or UT vs. East Carolina or Tulane every week and watch ratings go down... down..... down....... but remember, this was an argument about who is a better fit in the Big 12. And obviously UH can bring numbers.

    Blah blah blah.

Network game in primetime for UT is comparable to cable game at balls'o'clock in the morning for UH.

Why did UH vs. TTU beat UT vs. Mizzou, eh?

Remember, this is a discussion about who is worthy of Big 12 inclusion. You act as if no one watches UH football. Obviously, if playing Big 12 competition, people will watch. We have the evidence already.

No. This is an argument about who can bring more TV sets to the big 12.

UofH's TV market vs. Cincy or Louisville

The idea being that all the majority of either Cincy or Luisville's TV market far out weighs the minority of the Houston market UofH actually controls.

Exactly, talking out of your ass....got it.

Heck, just look at those massive attendence numbers for those UH football games, I mean clearly they cornered the Houston market....

LOL....look, I get that you are a graduate and loyal to your school, but at the end of the day, adding UH is about the same as adding Lamar, they are irrelevent.

Sure they can win some, and are exciting, but by and large, no one cares.

    Texas Tech-Houston (ESPN2) 7.9/NA

What is the NA about anyway?

That is the share, or percentage of TVs' that are on at that time tuned into that event, I believe....

    N/A = Not available.

Yes, I'm well aware that NA = not available

However, not having the denominator suddenly seems fairly relevant...

Uhhhhhh...share is not a denominator......I hope you were kidding....it is an entirely different rating.

Garner, I think this is how it works:

The first number is ratings, or percentage all the available Houston area TVs tuned in to a particular event....

While the 2nd number is share, or the percentage of TVs that are ON at that time tuned into that event.
