The only person im worried about accepting is RedNation if hes not absolutely ripping someone off he hates to trade hahahaha but he does get all the players he wants...........Everyones Lineup looks legit if I got all the positions right Lineups after trade Jmc==========Bigman========Red=====thing Tony Parker------=--Devin Harris------Jason Kidd-------Kyle Lowry Arron Afflalo--------Andre Iguodala----Kevin Martin-=--Dwayne Wade Carmelo Anthony---Lamar Odom-------Loul Deng-------Paul Pierce Chris Bosh----------Al Jefferson--==---Andrea Bargani--Paul Millsap JaVale McGee------ Dwight Howard- Marcin Gortat------Tyson Chandler
If anyone declines the trade I would still like to work something out to get Tony Parker so from my end I accept just waiting on everyone else
really? He goes from aruably the #1-2 sg to a top 5 shooting guard, and keeps his production at SG. He needs a better shooter to pair with Deng. Not a better Slasher/Defender. Massive upgrade at point. Pretty big upgrade at center. I would still take B Roy as a 6th man over A Parker any day. Harris Wade Deng combo = Good defense, Very bad spacing. Kidd, Martin, Deng = Good defense, Very good spacing. I doubt he finds a better deal. I already like it much better than the Chris Paul deal. Kidd Martin Deng Bargnani Gortat Sick combination of Offense and Defense.
Hey Spooner, when you log back on do a trade with me and torque where I get Lebron, but I keep D Rose and Amare.
Massive upgrade at the point? Kidd is not what he used to be. He can still pass and basically thats it. His now more of a 3p/defender specialist but his 3p% is at .340 during the season and .374 during the playoffs. Upgrade yes, massive? Did not see enough of Gortat, so would not compare between him and camby. Harris, Wade and Deng are all more about dribble penetration or slashing back door. Thats why he have Bargani and Camby. The only upgrade I see is Roy over Parker. But I never get the idea of weakening the starting unit to improve the bench. Sick combo of offense and defense? Kidd always have problems with speedy PGs and he is going to be 38 soon. Martin and Bargani are loop holes in the defense. Deng/Gortat are good man to man defenders. But would they be enough? And wondering where the dribble penetration will comes from. As both Bargani and Gortat are not post threats and to make use of his very good spacing. He would need someone to create for the others. So he sacrifice a top 5 talent for better spacing. Which is a decision that I'm glad I'm not having to make.
Kidd got killed by Dwayne Wade which is something people forget because the Mavs won. Kidd can't guard fast people any more. IIRC, Stevenson guarded Wesbtrook more than Kidd did.
Don't compare Kevin Martin to Bargnani on defense. Martin is not good at defense, but he's not near as awful as Bargnani.
You are severely underrating Kevin Martin. He isn't Ray Allen. His quickness has allowed him to penetrate on defenses for years. He is second to only Wade in fouls drawn for SG's. How would you explain that? Much more than a floor spacer. Since when is Bargnani not a post threat? Please explain. Because he is a big with a good shot doesn't make him Channing Frye....have you even seen him play? Marcin Gortat is an excellent Pick and Roll option at Center. He also rebounds at a very impressive rate. He is a great shot blocker as well. Clearly an upgrade over Camby. Kidd is almost 38 but Camby is almost 38 as well. Kidd>Camby Kidd>Harris Gortat>Camby. I don't know about you, but I saw a pretty good PG this offseason in Kidd.... Deng is an elite defender at the 3. I think Kidd, Deng, Gortat is plenty of defense to mask Martin and Bargnani. Thats a good balance. I think it's cute you like to try to sabatoge trades, but your argument is very weak.
I'm kind of expecting that after I post. I don't mind trades. But I do mind when people are trying to manipulate things to make things sounds better. KMart - Yeah his quick, he cut hard without the ball. But his not even Harris when it comes to dribble penetration. Something that Kidd nor Deng can provide either. His fouls drawing? He draw fouls by getting players into the air not by driving down the lane to draw contact ala wade. Defense wise.... its pretty clear right? His not even average. Bargani - He certainly have some repertoire for his post play moves. But when a player who can shoot as well as him, how often do you actually see him going to post. Camby/Gortat - again I said I would not comment as I did not watch them play much. So I will just take it as you says an upgrade. Kidd - Pretty good. Yes. But Harris is not that bad. Stats wise, they are pretty much even. You can even lean towards Devin Harris if you are nit-picking. But with Kidd best attributes is passing and defense. I give you that he is an upgrade. But a massive upgrade as you put it? Defense, no one is saying that Gortat and Deng are average defenders. But I find it "cute" that you goes from sick defense to good balance. And maybe I was not clear in my previous post. Its a good trade idea where he lost the best player and got up-grades the other 3 players. Its up to rednation to make that decision. And I'm real glad its not me making that decision.
Fair enough. Here is my counter A lot of great shooters can pumpfake. The reason Kevin Martin gets so many players in the air, is because of his shooting ability and quickness. Many players sag slightly off Martin because of his quickness. Since defenders can't crowd him and Martin is an elite shooter, many times he catches players lunging forward in the air toward him, hence the easy foul is drawn. You can't tell me you havn't ever seen Martin penetrate, or get fouled taking it to the basket. I would say Bargnani posts up quite a bit. Keep in mind he is the only reliable shooter in the starting 5 for Toronto other than Calderon. (When he is actually in the starting 5) They need really need him to help space the floor for Derozen and Weems. RedNation was trying to get Kidd. He was unsuccessful in doing so. He was also trying to get Gortat. Again he was unsuccessful in prying him. This way he gets a very good SG in return, he gets both his targets and a better 6th man. I don't feel I am manipulating anything. Yes I came up with the trade so it would be fun to see it go through, but if you would notice, I don't have a team to call my own. I made this objectively trying to help all teams the way I saw fit.
