@AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Texans HC Gary Kubiak on Arian Foster: "Much better. He looked good. As long as everything’s smooth tomorrow, it should be ready to go.”
Awesome, although I want to see some more TATE for my fantasy team. Texans are the main topic on espn.com's NFL section. Too bad the topic is lame. It's one of those obvious articles.
I still think tate will start, and arian will only get 10-15 carries, just to test how is he doing, and to rest him a bit, so he doesnt get injured again.
For every 3 series Foster is in on, Ward gets one, and Tate gets another. I think that is pretty much how the work load is split.
That was a completely different scenario - Kubiak benched Foster for disciplinary reasons. Health had nothing to do with it. A real example would be how Kubiak re-inserted Wilson as a starting safety his first game back after injury, despite Nolan playing at a higher level than he had during his absence. On this team, when you're back, you're back.
I do remember them sending Tate in motion on a goalline play ...of course Schaub never looked his way and we ended up kicingin a filed goal...BUT THATS BESIDES THE POINT!
Of course, the point I am making is that this system is really conducive to guys putting up good numbers, and if one gets established, the others may never see the field. Look at Slaton for an example. DD
There really werent any opportunities for Tate in the passing game. That was one of Tate's strengths...his ability to catch out of the backfield, so I wouldnt hold it against him if he didnt get a reception in the first game. He's more than capable.
