You are going to have some great times watching them grow, It will far out way the few bad times. You will have a lot of fun with them. Get a good camera and storage for the pictures and movies. You will enjoy looking at the pictures 40 years from now! Wish you the very best!
Thanks, everyone. 3 weeks old today. So far, having twins is pretty insane. Luckily (knock on wood), they don't usually cry at the same time. But what they do is tag-team. Once one is good and you start to relax...that's when the other starts up. Rinse, lather, repeat... Last night was pretty good. We gave them both something for gas and it seemed to help them sleep. I got a good 5 hours, which is the most I've gotten in....well.....3 weeks... But hey, that's what coffee is for, right?
LOL, that's what my parents said when we told them the books we were reading. Also a poster here with twins that I've been corresponding with. rhada, I think my wife read that one. We are trying Baby Wise now. Trying to get them on a schedule. Feed - Awake - Sleep. Repeat every 3 to 4 hours. Results are still very much inconclusive...
Cool - I just remember using it a few times to get some ideas for resolving (apparently) unexplainable crankiness, and once to confirm our fears that my daughter caught roseola. Lots of information. And god yes, routine is everything. Frankly, it's the only thing, actually, if you want to get some normalcy back into your life/sleep. Although you're kind of hosed for the first few months no matter what. One last tip while I'm on my uncomfortable soapbox - don't listen to the jerks who say things like "well, you'll never sleep again" and "say goodbye to your fun hobbies". They're clueless.
You mean you wouldn't rather be drunk and getting STD's from banging skanky meth-addicted strippers every night? Yeah, me either...
True. But some aren't. I found it annoying at first and downright stupid later. Don't want to derail the thread. Enjoy it Ima.
What I find annoying is everybody trying to tell you how to raise your kid. "You need to do this." You need to do that." Absolute worst part about it. Like you though, not trying to derail the thread. Congrats again!
^ LOL! Advice. Spoiler But, seriously speaking, though, I was just trolling earlier and ima caught that I was old fashioned, which is true... in a comparison to his parents' reaction. Anyway, I think that anytime someone posts anything that seems like they want advice, they'll get it. Some will think their advice is always the best, all others will think that Mexico isn't that good in soccer.
