I'm thinking about starting Stafford over Brady this week. Call me crazy. (I also have Stafford in a lot of my other leagues as my #1...Brady just fell to me in this one league)
That can bite you big time. I had that happen a couple of years ago when I decided to draft QB in later rounds and ended up with Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer. I played musical chairs with them for the first several weeks, and I kept picking the wrong one. It was probably week 10 or so before I stuck with Warner, which I should have done from the beginning, but Carson had one great start that kept making me think he was the old Carson.
4 Running Backs: Rice vs. Tennessee Blount vs. Minnesota Jackson vs. Oakland Bradshaw vs. St. Louis I am leaning Jackson over Blount. Rice and Bradshaw are definites. Thoughts?
I think I'd choose Blount based on how good the Oakland D looked yesterday and how Tampa claims it was just an oddity last week that Blount didn't get his usual touches
Got J. Charles, Run DMC, Greene, Hightower, and B. Wells in this one league (not too worried bout winning it cause it's not my $ league but still like Ws) and just was offered: Phillip Rivers + McGahee for DMC I currently have Eli as my starter and I think Orton as his backup, would you pull the trigger? Oh and the guy has Vick & Brady as his other QBs. I guess he was thinkin of just tradin to someone like me for an upgrade at his position spots. So should I go after one of the other 2 or accept the trade as is?
was offered: Hillis Mike Williams (Sea) for: Miles Austin My RBs are Foster, Forte, Addai, Torain, WRs are Austin, Welker, Brandon Marshall, Roy Williams. Thoughts? Don't think I need to make this trade, but I'm a tad thin on RBs. 12 teams, 16 rounds, not much on waiver.
Just noticed it is the Seattle version. You aren't thin at RB for a 12 team league. How many RB/WR/Flex positions do you have?
2 RB, 2WR, 1 flex, the normal #s. Now, with the status of Dez Bryant up in the air, I'm even less inclined to make the trade. Thinking about just pick up Cadillac Williams on waiver, and Addai should be at least serviceable on a regular basis, unless Colts are down by 3+ TDs at half every game
I'd ask for Brady but pull the trigger for Rivers + McGahee. Does he have any other RBs you could upgrade to if he wants Rivers to be included instead of Brady? (only saying yes b/c you have the RB depth to make it happen, and b/c DMC has had some injury issues in the past)
I'd do it in a heartbeat. I think Hillis is definitely better than Miles this year. I'm assuming you start 2 RB 2 WR 1 flex. If that's not the case, I retract my statement
Schaub @ Miami or Stafford @ home against KC Both teams were scorched in week 1 Oh and my opponent has Megatron. TIA
I'm fairly sure Clark will have more catches and yards but not sure he will score. I'm pretty sure Gronk will score at least 1 TD maybe even 2. I'd go with Gronk.
Tough call. Hillis has more value, but you are so thin at WR if you make this deal. WR is easier to replace than RB, but I don't know how much better Hillis is going to be at your Flex spot than Addai/Marshall and if that will be enough to offset the difference between Austin and Marshall. Austin had a down year last year, but was beasting it until Romo got hurt. I think I still make the deal, but I wouldn't blame you for turning it down, even though it seems like an obvious choice on the surface.
I would always start Stafford over Schaub, but especially if your opponent has Calvin -- that way you negate his advantage. This one is a no-brainer.
No he really doesn't have much, I think F. Jackson, Spiller, D. Brown, and Cadillac. I think I'll take Rivers, the problem would be who to drop for McGahee; Lee Evans? Or maybe I'll just drop McGahee, thanks for the ayuda bro-ham.
Tread lightly. Blount is not being featured on passing downs because he's useless as a receiver and sucks at pass protection. That handicaps him quite a bit because his production will dive significantly whenever the Bucs get behind and they have to throw, which may happen more often than you think. To make matters worse, Earnest Graham is in the mix for goal line carries as well. Blount may have more upside, but Fred Jackson may actually be the safer play.
Who do I play at RB?? Michael Turner vs Philly Cedric Benson @ Denver Peyton Hillis @ Indy Rashard Mendenhall vs Seattle I have 2 RB spots plus a flex so I need to sit 1 I just dont know who I should sit.
Good lord, that's like asking which supermodel you should bang. Are playing in a 4 team league or something? Mendenhall is the only no brainer there. I like Hillis, too. So for me it's a toss up between Turner and Benson. I'd go Benson. Denver gave up a league high 4.7 YPC last year.
