I don't know if they did it out of nostalgia, being the same weekend it was first held 10 years ago, or why they did it. There was no reason for it other than to make people miserable when they should be having a good time. At least it will only be in the mid-90's with a possibility of the random cloud. Still f***ing hot when you're packed in like sardines with 70,000+.
i heard they ****ed up and waited too long to book the weekend and there was something else going on in town that prohibited it from being in october. of course they guy who said this also blames obama for tax rates being the highest of all-time, so there's a good chance he's just mentally r****ded.
if you dont have a 3 day pass you cannot leave to smoke. http://www.statesman.com/news/local...n-effect-during-1849281.html?cxtype=rss_local
how much? are you in houston or austin? I have a 3 day pass but I have some friends looking for just a friday pass
Yeah, I don't think many people are going to pay much attention to that...especially with how green the grass is at Zilker. I was out there for a couple of the Blues on the Green shows this summer while they had the ban and I never saw anyone hesitate to light up in any fashion.
so zilker is looking green? im still on the fence but if it's gonna be anything like it was in '05 i'm avoiding it like the plague. i was coughing up dust for a solid month after that fiasco.
One is a Stub Hub ticket, a friends. The other an e-ticket. My friend paid $152, I paid the regular price, like $80 or $90 or something. I'm sure he'd like to recoup all $152 if possible. As for me. Not sure, I'd possibly sell at face. I know I can get more online. But... meh, busy at work. Almost too tired to bother at this point. Kind of gauging interest right now.
Nothing like that at all. They take very good care of it now and have for the last couple of years....well, at least since the rain/human feces fiasco of 2009.
smoker? grass is very green. it was after the 05 debacle that they resodded the whole thing and put in a fancy sprinkler system - they have taken care of it well since then.
I'm not sure the reason. I've heard tons of different things. Its back to October for next year though
http://www.gazette.uwo.ca/article.cfm?section=Opinions&articleID=379&month=2&day=16&year=2005 f*** that pasty, fey little twig-boy. on a personal note, my friend works for acl and has had to deal w/ that guy a couple times and said he is a whiny little b****. also, their music sucks ass.
I'm pretty excited about Friday. Hitting up Pretty Lights tomorrow night, then epicness. Check out my friday schedule mix if you're bored http://8tracks.com/biscuitsngroovy/austin-city-limits-2011-friday-mix My lideal lineup: The Cults Theophilus London James Blake Foster the People Nas & Damian Marley Pretty Lights Kayne
Generally what happens is that people who can't go due to last minute issues put the tix up for sale on Craigslist wed or thurs for cheaper prices. Friend bought 3 day passes for 120 like that last year but you gotta get on it ASAP
Like buying anything off craigslist or the street, there's also a little risk involved. I've had a few friends buy tickets, only to find out that they've already been used.
