Collegiate Celebration: Why is stuff like this flagged?

    It is an issue in collegiate sports I don't understand. Flashing a 'gesture' representative of your school in a spirited celebration along with the rest of student body is just plain fun. I can understand refusing to allow TD end-zone dances, because they may interfere with the pace of the game, but a Cougar paw or a Aggie up-your-butt thumb ain't going to kill no one.

    History says it's because Texas University got spanked by Miami University, and for whatever reason they went crying to the NCAA.
