Not officially. It sounds like it's not that serious and he'll try to come back, though he just had the surgery (well, actually, an "intervention") and will not be able to train for about 50 days.
Oberto also had a similar problem a couple of years ago, though, and retired after he had recurring problems, even if he's playing this final tournament. So we'll see what happens to GutiƩrrez...
I love the idea of Tiago and Kahwi. Along with Scola and Bud, I would love to throw in D-Mo too. Lowry/Dragic Martin/Lee Kawhi/T-Wil/Moriisl PPat/Hayes/Morris ?????/Splitter
First off, Morris is going to be a better SF than Kawhi, mark it down. Secondly, the Spurs will NOT deal with the Rockets, nor Morey, unless they are forced to. (Scola...)
Thanks. Canada media ripping Nash pretty bad now that they've failed to qualify for the Olympics: http://www.torontosun.com/2011/09/08/thanks-a-lot-nash Damn.
Any explanation? We would get a mid first rounder and cap space to sign a star and more, and solid defensive minded big with size. We've got 3-4s on the team that we need to play.
Past his prime and declining Scola just dropped 32 points on tournament-best defensive team Brazil. Argentina clinched 1st place and Scola was the tournament's top scorer 21.4 ppg and named MVP. I hope i could be this good...
I really hope Scola will become the focal point of the offense under McHale. If only Thabeet can turn into a defensive stopper, then he doesn't have to worry about offense. We need to exploit Scola's talent and work around him, he can work the post with Thabeet hanging around to secure offensive rebounds. Martin will get his, Lowry will get his but Scola's the man!!
The severe lack of basketball knowledge never ends in this forum. Scola spent the entire tournament doing nothing but shooting mid range jump shots. His entire game was only, ONLY, shooting wide open mid range jump shots. He is either not fully healthy, or he is declining.
