From Minny Star article it sounded as tho RA would take the job if OVERpaid. Does this mean - - the lock-out is all but OVER???
They're basically overpaying to get him. What are you talking about? i read a recent report today that he would only agree if he had $25 mil guaranteed. Minny is getting one of the best coaches out there, and he has handled players worse than Beasley in his career (Artest to name one). I'm glad young players like Love will get coaching from a great coach. He'll make that team much better.
Book it, minny and heat in the finals. Rox get 10-72 record . And morey gets fired and I get banned. They signed battier to compliment their young players.
Adelman likes keeping his old players a lot. Maybe we can rob the T-Wolves out of some players. Doubt we'd be able to get Love though.
Actually, he's part of the Brad Miller deal. Morey told Kahn he'd swap Adelman for McHale if Kahn would take Miller off of our hands.
They have two solid pieces to build around in Love and Williams. Solid bench and a hellova lotta assets to trade with and decent cap room to acquire more talent. It wouldnt be a bad place for Aldeman at all. Not as bad as some would think.
Really don't want to move on this until I see Rick (or any coach) at the podium next to Kahn. The GM is doing everything he can to both keep both his team in the local news, and give his end excuses (he's asking for too much!) should he end up with a different coach. What a weird organization.
Over how many years? I remember length was an issue with the Rockets: Morey wanted stability, Rick wanted flexibility. But $25 mil guaranteed should be at least a 4-year deal, if not 5 years. Regardless, Minnesota should overpay for a good head coach. So good move on Kahn's part for realizing the value of a stable veteran coach for that team.
How much credence do you give Zgoda's recent blog post on the Wolves' coaching situation as it relates to both Kahn and the Lock-out? http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/129537318.html
Adelman is 65 years old.... if he gets 5 years, I seriously doubt that he is able to complete his contract because of age, mediocre talent to coach and eventually Kahn is going to be fired and the new GM will want to clean house. Still, nice retirement deal for RA. He never gets a ring, but 25 million will have him and his family set up well. He can still coach at a high level as well, the Wolves should improve. Rubio and Adelman are a BAD mix though. I expect Beasley and Love to put up big numbers, the Wolves to win more games.

Good on the T-Wolves for paying up for a good coach to help keep their star.
It would be funny if they made the playoffs while we're still expanding on the philosophy of winning big. Good luck, Fuhrer!
The Wolves have done a good job of taking some risks and getting high picks, if they mesh, they could be ready to be the next OK City Thuder. DD
They’re not going to make the playoffs next season. But in a couple of seasons of growing under Adelman and probably making some roster moves guided by his imput, I’m sure they will.
