With Brady they went 16-0 and went to the super bowl. Without Brady they missed the playoffs. Enough said.
A team that wins over 10 games is usually considered a playoff team 99% of the time. That year, the AFC was just too strong, and a Brady-less team still won 11 games. The Colts won't win more than 4 games MAX this year. People will really get to understand how weak the Colts are without Peyton, and how bad the coaching is in Indy. Brady always has the fortune of the best coach, and he himself elevates the play of others around him. I won't disagree b/c a lot of guys are close to that #1 spot, but the guy has a ton of talent, and one of the best offensive coaches on his side. People need to pay attention to Rivers. He put up gaudy stats last year with little help offensively, and his team led the NFL in offense. And Norv Turner is his coach--c'mon now.
Just to further Moe's point of view, I was watching an interview that Geoff Caulkins was doing with Joe Theismen, and Theismen said that Aaron Rodgers has a more prettier delivery, tighter spiral (like an artist he said) than anyone EVER, including Dan Marino. I got the impression that Theisman thinks Rodger might be the greatest qb ever, at least from what he is projecting. I was amazed by this, by the way.
Kerry frikken Collins is about 100 passing yards away from being 10th all-time, a spot currently held by Joe Montana. If he throws for about 2600 yards this season, he'll pass Dan Fouts for 9th. How the hell did this happen?
Currently have the CBS up on my Bravia, and running Redzone off my 19" Samsung. Redzone linky - http://www.firstrowsports.eu/sport/american-football.html
