I'm guessing this is from the magazine? I can't find the article online. Which means his predictions are probably a week, if not longer, old, and most assuredly predates Manning's condition (publicly) worsening.

Given franchise history, I don't blame anyone for not picking us to win the division. At the same time, I think they're crazy if they think we're not going to win the division. and by we, I clearly mean me, included. i'm doing my part. godspeed to all of you.
Oh, cool - thanks. Yeah, they did this pre-Manning: You'll note he's later listed as a "Star Who Has A Subpar Season." He's probably not having a season at this point. (And as further proof how ridiculous King is - his "Star Who Has A Subpar Season"? Reggie Bush, who hasn't been a star in years, if ever, really (beyond hype). I can't believe anyone is still trying to beat that drum. Well, I can if it's Peter King. I would wager 50-hundred trillion dollars that, off the top of his head, King couldn't list more than... 8 players off of all 32 rosters. I'm telling you, he's a moron.) BTW, four of those writers picked the Colts to win the South. I bet they'd like a redo.................................
BTW, saw another link: King's division standing predictions: He has Indianapolis at 10-6; Houston 9-7. It was posted Monday, when Manning was still a possibility to play this weekend. It wouldn't shock me if he bought into Kerry Collins and stood by his prediction.... but my guess is that he'll likely offer an updated prediction later.
I agree with Ric - that reads very much like they finalized it Wednesday or so, before the news really broke. Nationally, the feel had been that he'd miss 1-3 games. Peter King seems to believe that Peyton will come back late this season and jump them from 0.500 treading water to 9-10 wins. http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports...on-mm-peyton-mannings-career-not-in-jeopardy/ “His career absolutely isn’t in jeopardy” For him to come away and make a statement like that is absurd, and on the level of John McClain idiocy.
Kate's back! Yeah! Collins is 41 years old. He will never look good again, unless he starts doing commercials with Keith Hernandez and Walt Frasier
He's 38, 39 in December. And he didn't look bad at the end of the year last year... and Indy has better weapons than TENN. Look for Clark and Collie to have a good season.
My take is that Manning means much more to the Colts than most people give him credit for. My guess is that his absence will completely expose the Colts weaknesses...and I really have a hard time seeing the Colts challenging anyone. Look back at 2009...colts were 14-0...Manning sits...and the Colts look like the worst team in the NFL. A 30-7 beat down against the Bills to end the season with Painter posting up a 15 qb rating. It's going to be the same story....Manning's greatness will be unveiled to the fullest. Nobody is as important to a football team as Manning...ever.
I know what you're saying, but Collins is not a slouch. He is a pretty good backup QB/plan to have. Say the Texans had this situation, would you rather have Collins or Leinart?
LOL, you're too much. This post of yours is much like your takes on games - after the fact. If Collins has a good game, you'll be in here crowing, and if he gets smashed, we won't hear from you (regarding Collins) until December 4th.
Nah... I don't plan to post in here on Sunday no matter what happens. I just wanted say what I think as of right now.
