What about Rocky and Comrade Ivan? East dillon lions against the panthers? I think the most difficult part for the colts is that they lost their head coach in the process. It's a true non fact that caldwell is just his assistant.
No, it wasn't - Dallas Clark missed 10 games; Addai 8; Collie 7 and Gonzalez 14. And their head coach passed away 13 different times last year. They were 6-6 after 12 games before reeling off 4 straight. If Addai and especially Clark are healthy, nine wins, while not probable, is not out of the question.
Do you log on just to D-bag it up? I'll enjoy the season once it's actually started, unlike the ones I'm ranting against.
Foster wont play according to John Clayton.... http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/212194/report-arian-foster-unlikely-to-play-sunday
Nine wins for the Colts without Peyton is probably worse. They draft so so players with middle picks instead of getting better players with higher picks. Regression continues.
We dont need him...But he better he can play soon.... Karma may come around on his azz.... Tate looks hungry and Ward looks great
Not true; he was using the Vegas line, which, as he stated, had already been adjusted to account for the possibility of Manning missing games. If they can realistically outright win 6-7 games, then all it takes is one bounce here and another there to pull off an additional 1-2 wins. I'll randomly just make-up wild sceanrios that *could* happen to illustrate my point: a Hail Mary TD pass being completed with no time left; a 72-yard drive for a game-winning TD with no TOs left.................. The difference between a 7- and 9-win team in the NFL is teeny-tiny. And comparing it to a 162-game MLB season is silly, IMO. If you're bad, you're bad and that play out over 6 months. In the NFL, all it takes is one crazy bounce.....
Right on.... puttin to much value in fantasy football performers over a marquee franchise performer...Manning is the Colts...as they will see... They should now be lookin draft T. Richardson or L.James with their eventual top 5 dradft pick
Guys... let's have a little perspective here. Nine wins would be the Colts worst season since 2001, and I'm suggesting it's a longshot. I'm not arguing they're Super Bowl contenders - I just don't think they're going to be cakewalks.
Injuries did play a large factor but with the exception of Clark how many of those guys have shown the abilty to stay healthy? Addai realize on the stretch play and play action...no one will bite now. Gonzalez has been a zero in his career and Collie is one concussion away from retirement. Since they won't be able to take huge leads and they still can't stop the run, Freeney and Mathis won't be as effective rushing the passer but will rather be exploited for being poor run stoppers. If they had a good head coach then I'd give them a fighting chance but Caldwell doesn't inspire much confidence. They can still be a tough out on any given Sunday, especially at home, but not over a 16 game season.
The Colts have 6 wins (and that's being generous) marked on their schedule with the Jags x2, Cinci, Carolina, Cleveland, and they should grab a win vs the Titans at least once. So it will take a lot of luck for them to push that number up to 9.
Also wanted to mention that the advantage we have been given is nice even though it sucks to see an all-time great qb possibly having to end his career on a sour note. It's gonna be strange playing the colts with out jughead at the helm.
He used the Vegas line which he suggested accounted for the possibility of Manning missing "some time." Yet, when Manning was recently declared out for Sunday the line for this game moved. Hmmmmm.... What does outright mean? I think they will fight to win 7 or 8 games. You think 6 wins is likely but 9 isn't out of the question. That's a big gap in the NFL.
Sorry: ETA: And... how quickly we all forget: 99.9999999999999999999999999% of you wanted this coaching staff shipped off to Antartica after last season and 89.67364373637828% of you still have zero faith in the HC. They were a 6-win team last season that is learning a new defensive system and will highly likely be without the NFL's leading rusher. I think they're going to win 11 games this year. I think they're going to win Sunday (they're my pick in the my suicide league). But I think pulling the covers on the Colts season is a wee-bit premature.
Nothing. Not sure why he's bringing up Kubiak. Whom most of us still think sucks. I guess he thinks hating Kubiak and thinking the Texans should win are mutually exclusive things? Whatever. I don't care anymore. Colts aren't going to do diddly poo this year. RIP Jim Mora.
