IMHO, Governor Goodhair's stance on Social Security is going to derail his campaign and Mitt Romney will wind up getting the nomination. There are millions of people who live on Social Security in the USA, and they vote. Start talking like you are going to screw around with their means of survival, and they will vote against you in droves. Keep talkin', Aggie-boy, keep talkin'. The more you say, the more your campaign will suffer...
Agreed. That's the one issue that's just too much for the average American to bear. Old folks will scream till their heads fall off about avoiding socialism..but none of them are gonna give up that SS check. Mess with that, and there's hell to pay. Romney has the ability, with this issue alone, to cement the idea that Perry is too fringe...too far extreme.

I support Dr. Paul but I think those pictures are maybe taken a little out of context. I'd like to see the video of these confrontations (they happened during breaks right?) as well as what Ron Paul has to say about whether or not Perry was actually trying to 'intimidate' him or something of that nature. Not putting it past Perry or anything sorry just responding to the guy who posted the pics above me didn't mean to derail this thread

No matter what comes up about Perry. Need to face the reality that America is in a rut of electing one crappy president after another that we think is the opposite of the current one. Spoiler Bush's presidency sucked so bad we elected Obama. Spoiler Obama's presidency sucks so bad that just four years after Bush we'll elect another Texas Governor. Spoiler Perry's presidency will suck so bad that we'll elect Jon Stewart. Spoiler America will cease to exist as we know it under his presidency but thanks to the legalization of most drugs we'll all be too high to notice or care anymore.
