Kid Cudi Mr. Rager Music Video

One of my fav. songs from that album. Video reminded me of the classic Old Boy fight scene

My fave song off the album. I could listen to it all day.

 

Kid Cudi is one of my fav rappers, but I'm not feeling this song. I don't know what it is though....just a little off in my opinion. Some of my favorite songs from him are Erase Me, Dat New New, Pursuit of Happiness, Day N Nite, and Cudi Zone.

 

This song is good but one of only about 4 or so decent songs on the album imo.

His first album was better.

 

I respect the creativity, but what is Kid Cudi great at?

He's not really an elite rapper and he can't sing. He reminds me of how I feel about some of Kanye's autotune/singing songs - I always find myself thinking "nice concept...this song would be great if someone else was singing it!"

 

It's hard for me to argue, because I know exactly what you mean but I still love Cudi. I think it's his attitude and just vibe his music gives off. His style maybe.

I don't really mind that he's not the 'best rapper'. I barely even consider him a rap artist anyway, more hiphop. But still - is LeBron James your favourite basketball player? He's pretty much the best, but a lot of people on this board prefer lesser players for various reasons.

 

I think I just dig the guy's style. He is different than most of what we have seen.

He almost seems to bring that dark element to hip hop that few others provide...
