haha yeah, even with him just being a huge disappointment following the 2003 US (hard to believe it's been 8 years and the guy looks exactly the same) his serve is still something to be scared as **** over.
Roddick has a chance. His serve will always be there and Nadal's serve is not ad good as it once was. Andy needs to go big like he did against Roger at Wimbledon. In today's match against Ferrer, at times he really pounded his forehand, and when he did, he looked capable of competing with the big boys. I'm shocked because I gave him no shot to win today. I was wrong, he played aggressive and that was the reason he won. If he plays defense against Nadal, it won't go past three sets. Isner has a real shot against Murray. His serve is the best in the game and is hitting his forehand very well. Predictions- Isner and Nadal go through. I'm really pulling for Andy though. He deserves one after all the beatdowns Fed has put on him.
It must feel horrible to play at your very best and probably be able to win against anybody but unfortunately play someone thats perhaps the GOAT of tennis...if it wasnt for federer...roddick would have won multiple majors by now
Two of my favourite players right now, Wozniacki vs. Petkovic. As a German I have to go with Petko though.
Yes, 5-5 and all the momentum for Petko. By the way, hate how Wozniacki always keeps b..tchin when losing points and argues with the ref. Really annoying.
I'm amazed people can hit it. I've faced 100mph serves before, and I can't hit them. Unbelievably fast. And of course Roddick dials it up over 140mph.
We may disagree on this, but Nadal may be the GOAT when it's all said in done. Federer has the stats to suggest it's him, but man it's hard to not look at Nadal's double digit slams, and his head to head record with Fed. Either or, Roddick was unfortunate being in his prime with Roger, Nadal, and Djokovich.
Sadly true, Serena dominates everyone. Really enjoyed the time(not bein mean) when she was injured and you never knew who'd win the tournaments. Just to strong and physically gifted for the other girls.
Not rude at all. Women's tennis is so unpredictable unless Clisters or Williams are playing. There the only consistent players on the women's tour.
Roddick is 5-3 against Djokovic, and 3-5 against Nadal (1 loss was on clay). He is 2-20 against Federer. Nadal wasn't winning on all surfaces and Djokovic was just unrealized potential for a few years of Roddick's prime. And like I said, any player can claim to have been unfortunate because they played in an era with other great players. Federer had a few years where he got to play without another great player, and it helped him on his great run.
You think Roddick has a chance tom? And it's really hard to make that call in regards with Fed and Rafa. You can't go wrong with either IMO.
Tsonga vs. Federer now, hopefully best match of the day. Think it will go through 5th set with Federer winning.
