With all due respect, I really don't feel like answering that question because it has been established enough times in this thread. It's not relevant to my original question. I only gave that info to provide background to my story.

Thanks for your input. Not sure what your point is, while mine was pretty clear, I thought.

Get defered adjudication - take defensive driving, do not pass go, do not collect or pay $200.

Realize that most speeding tickets are just a revenue stream or an involuntary tax.....it gives the police something to do other than protecting the citizens.

Seriously, that many speeding tickets is flat out irresponsible and excessive.

If you don't want to pay for the ticket, then slow it down. You've already been warned 11 times. You were speeding, you know it...pay the ticket.

Not to jump on the bashing brigade but, what did you do the other 10/11 times you were ticketed???.... If it worked then do the same.... Its damn near laughable probably to the judge when he sees your traffic violations.... So expect the expected!!!!...and Vote for McClain!!!

If you think enforcing speed limits that were deemed safe for a particular stretch of roadway set by experts is just something for police to do, then you're a fool and a clown.

But I didn't need this post to tell me that, your track record is well documented. Stick to the amateur hour web cam videos and leave law enforcement to the big boys.

My last ticket was about 4 years ago. I got caught at a speed trap in Martindale on my way to San Marcos. It was a BS ticket because the cop clocked me before I got to the sign where the speed limit dropped. I was going the limit for the stretch of road where he clocked me.

Anyway, I wasn't going to go all the way out there to fight it so I did deferred disposition (same thing) and was able to request it through the mail. I never had to show up in court and since I never drive through that county, I was never at risk of violation the terms of the agreement.

I might be wrong, but I think it's "no contest", the same as when you do defensive driving.

Shouldn't take any explaining... It's called a speed LIMIT not a speed window.

In Minnesota, you can talk with the prosecutor prior to your hearing. It would be discussed then. I assume other states have similar policies.

When my son and wife received tickets in Minnesota, the prosecutor changed their offense to being a public nuisance. It carried the same type of charge, cost about the same amount of money and did not go on your driving record. In Minnesota, you can not take defensive driving to remove a ticket in most cities or counties.

I dont know Bo... I assume a small-town cop wouldnt have any reason to lie (cough)..... If I was, Im still going only "4" miles over the limit at 2.a.m.. It is what it is!!!

tell the DA you will take it to trial and you have solid evidence that you can show jury that pacing is inaccurate method.. therefore worthy of a throwout or $1 fine.

Once DA makes a reasonable offer accept it and move on since you think you don't have a case.

The more you can feign a good case and that you want to take it all the way the more likely the DA will be to make a better offer. Weather hot vs cool is dumb and will get you no where stick with pacing is bullsh7t and that you will fight that to jury.

A set of experts, you are either naive or stupid....and lord knows most cops are not on the naive side.

How else do you explain the 55mph downgrade in speed limits in the 80s? Suddenly those same roads out in West Texas are good for 80mph....

Revenue, revenue, revenue.....always follow the money tree....

Wait, one more thing....how many times do the police turn around and SPEED after the offender? And basiclly doubling the number of speeders on that roadway

Some speed limits are there for people's protection, some are there to generate money for the city.

And most police are not college educated...

The 55MPH downgrade occurred during the 1970s due to the energy crisis. Limits were lowered due to the desire to save fuel. It had nothing to do with road quality.
