I have a feeling we are going to be blitzing almost every play. Collins with a new system, lack of running game, immobile. We should have 4 or 5 sacks and a pick. Pretty reasonable if you ask me. That Colts line will not be as good with blitz coverages without Peyton running the helm.

It just makes sense. You typically play what's proven and has been effective at first, and Ward has proved and earned that with the texans. Tate will get his chance though, and if he makes the most of them, he will get more. If he plays better in games, I have little doubt he would be the full time #1 backup

So... When did Mario hurt his Achilles and groin?

Are we really going to go into the season with only 4 WRs on the roster? After they had made their cuts last week, the Texans said that they were going to look for a punter, a 5th WR, and depth on the DL. Well, the re-signed a punter they previously cut and that's been it. I would've thought that if they were going to sign a WR, they would've done so by now. Should this be a concern?

My guess is their waiting for week 2 to resign David Anderson. I read somewhere that if a player isn't on the Week 1 roster, the team isn't on the hook for their salary if said player gets cut or injured halfway through the season.

    Just a guess though.

I was thinking about Anderson since he knows the system and is available. If what you said is true, then that makes sense.

More likely he was just being an a**hole. I can understand having doubts about Schaub as a playoff-caliber QB but to imply that a washed up 38 year old Kerry Collins coming in at the last minute is better than Schaub is beyond stupid. He must have sat in the ESPN Rush Limbaugh Dumb A** seat.

Naw, I think the Texans will win this game handily unless they start reading this BBS and get too cocky. I expect the Colts defense to play with desperation and to come flying at Schaub from all directions like mad men. It's really their only chance of winning this game.

WR5 should be Lestar Jean when he's ready to roll.

I predict Watt or Reed knocking out Collins, I'm not talking from an over cocky perspective, I just think those 2 are chomping on the bit and are gonna go 100 mph every snap they're in, especially Reed since he won't be in as many snaps as Watt.

Gotcha. Full Practice, though - generally that tells you whether or not something is a really issue. The groin could just be a holdover from last year. I believe the Pats once (during the 18-1 Spygate season? The first Moss-Welker season?) listed Brady as doubtful (shoulder) even though he was healthy as a horse all year.

yeah, or it could just be a little sore and they list it. As long as he practices in full, there isnt too much to worry about.

They had Demeco listed on there and I thought i heard recently that he's 100%

The important thing for Schaub(Kubiak) is to not get in those 3rd and long situations...If they do, those DE's gonna feast...Then the next important thing is for Schaub to not get stripped , because he definitely gonna get hit from every angle.........With that said ...Texasns 29 Colts 12

With double TE sets, and now a catching FB, I don't think we'll ever be seeing a 5th WR rotating in. It'd be nice if DA comes back though, with Jacoby still here it's nice to know there's a surehanded WR waiting in the wings.

I was thinking along the lines of injuries and getting caught shorthanded.
