Secondly... @ChrisLevel Contrary to other reports #TexasTech not threatening legal action against anyone. Simply not true. @ChrisLevel Again, from the folks directly involved in these discussions in Lubbock #TexasTech not suing or threatening to sue SEC or Mike Slive. Lastly... @AaronDickens This report didn't come from DFW. or Austin. It came from Waco. You have took through that lens.
you understand the difference between not signing a waiver and threatening legal action, right? i haven't signed any waivers releasing claims against you today, Garner. i also haven't threated to sue you, either. these are two different questions entirely. As for Aaron Dickens, I haven't seen the report he's talking about out of Waco.
I missed this one yesterday, apparently Colorado isn't looking forward to getting the band back together in the Pac-16, citing among other things, poor academics in Lubbock and Stillwater? Hehehehehe. http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_18834617 Rather haughty of them. I approve.
but there's this, independent of my guys: http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1261679 The only Big 12 school willing to sign a waiver releasing the SEC from litigation appears to be Oklahoma, which has indicated it might soon be ready to bolt for the Pac-12, the administrator said. soooooo at the end of the day, the SEC has demanded 9 waivers....only one is hinting at granting one. tune in tomorrow
Baylor's refusal to sign the waiver is in a completley different context than TTU's. I would have thought that was pretty clear. As for the report Dickens is referencing, it was just posted on page 94 or 95, I believe.
In related news, I will sue anyone who does anything that might impact me negatively, no matter how far down the butterfly effect line I have to look.
who gives a flip about context? think the SEC cares about context? they claim they need a legal document from all 9 saying they can't be sued in order to bring on A&M. that's the condition they put out there.
If the Big12 survives all of this, there's going to be a lot of bad blood everywhere. In the case, I can't tell if Dan Beebe should keep his job for pulling off a 2nd miracle, or if he should be out of it for being in the center of a complete disaster.
he needs to go. this letter he wrote to the SEC is absolutely a joke ridiculous. how in the world do you write that letter given the fact that this many members are saying they refuse to waive claims against the SEC... and then his, "wait..hold up...ummm..i didn't mean that" letter to the SEC last night at the last minute was embarassing. i can't believe this guy, honestly.
I agree. But last year, he was hailed as a hero for pulling off a miracle. Regardless, my favorite twitter feed for the last year has been: http://www.twitter.com/DanBeebe
Can we get a poll set up, very simple- Q: Which conflict is resolved first? A. The NBA Lockout B. Big XII Conference Alignment C. Mayan calendar puts an end to us all first
Matt Mosely, ESPN radio and Fox Sports SW (Baylor alum) tweeted that BU sent the SEC a signed indemnification letter.
I hope it happens in the order above. Let's get the NBA season started on time and pleeeeeease let the Little 12 theatrics last a few more months.
Sorry can't confirm the news. FWIW, I copied this from a facebook post and I spent the last few minutes looking for the source but can't find it. Edit, heres something. http://mobile.texags.com/Forums/5/Topics/1909537
