Okay, so my draft is tonight and I need some opinions. The league is PPR: the caveat being that instead of 1.00 per reception running backs only get 1/2 a point, whereas everyone else gets 1.00. Also QBs get 6.0 for throwing tds.

    Here's the rules
    http://nffc.stats.com/football/leagues/nffc/top3_rules.asp

*** important: This is a 14 team league

I have the 5th pick and 19th pick in the draft and while I am pretty set on taking Lesean Mccoy with the 5th pick, I'd like some advice on the 19th pick.

Based on my research, it looks like these players might be available: (I'd really rather go running back, running back for the first 2 rounds, since by the 6th round it looks as if all the number 1 running backs will be gone.) My strategy as it stands is to go, rb, rb, wr, wr, rb.

Of these players which would you pick with the 19th pick (and why):

    If I go wide receiver
Hakeem Nicks (this is a maybe)
    Vincent Jackson

    If I go running back:

    Darren Mcfadden (a maybe)
    Matt Forte
    Michael Turner
    Stephen Jackson
    Frank Gore

I don't think you have the 19th pick. FF drafts would be 1-14, then 14-1, so you would actually have the 24th pick, and there is a good chance McFadden/Forte/Turner/Gore are all gone by then.

    I'd still go RB.

McFadden is swinging for the fences, but if healthy could be the best RB in a PPR league, but that is a big if.

Gore will get hurt, but will be great until then.

Turner's value in a PPR league is lower since he doesn't catch much, and I'm not high on him this year anyway.

Matt Forte has me unconvinced, but I'd be willing to take him over Turner in a PPR.

Stephen Jackson is another great player in a PPR league, but he also gets hurt every year, but I would take him over the other players mentioned.

Vincent Jackson is downgraded in PPR, because he only catches about 70 balls, but his TDs will make up for it, still would take him behind the RBs in such a deep league.

Damn you're right, I have the 24th pick.

Also, I think you and I are on the same page. I was thinking of going with Gore and getting Kendall Hunter as his handcuff in the later rounds.

I don't think Mcfadden's injury is going to limit him, but if I am comparing him with gore, Gore to me is the better value, even at the 11 games he plays.

Let me ask you another question: Would you be comfortable with Lance Kendricks as your number 1 tight end option or would you try to scope Jimmy Graham in the 6th round?

With my system, I'm thinking I wank to target Mike Wallace in the 6th round and the 7th go for Josh Freeman. If I do that I'll have to scope up Lance Kendrick or some other TE in the later rounds.

Damn it, I meant Mike Thomas in the 6th, not wallace.

So it would be Mike Thomas over Jimmy Graham and possibly Big Ben if he is available in the 6th round.

6th round is too high for Mike Thomas, IMO. Look for Dallas Clark, he has slipped in both of my drafts, of course with Peyton hurt, his value is now decreased, but I'd look for him. Neither Graham or Kendricks is proven, but I'd take Graham over Thomas for certain.

Well, this is a 14 team league so by the 6th round you'll have 84 picks in the books.

His adp has been 88, but I suppose he could fall because he's name could slip under the radar being in Jacksonville. I expect him to have a big year, but maybe that is why I am overvaluing him a bit?

Also, here is my list of sleepers: tell me what you think or would you add someone to the list:

    Lance Kendricks
Antonio Brown (I am probably going to reach for this guy. But I'd also like to take Emmanuel Sanders as well. One of these guys are going to go off. Brown is most likely I know)
    Dexter McCluster
    Harry Douglas
    Kendall Hunter
    Jason Snelling
    Brandon Gibson

He has gone undrafted in a number of 10 team leagues, I think that is usually 13 rounds, so 130 picks. His starting QB just got cut. He is a draftable player in a 14 team league, especially in a PPR, but too soon for him.

Hey Juice, or anybody else. I just realized that this draft is a 3RR which means that my 2nd round pick and my 3rd round pick are going to mirror each other.

This means I'm picking 5, 19, 38 and then I get a really quick pick at 47th for the 4th round.

Since I didn't realize this before, I'm thinking of changing my strategy up a bit.

I'm thinking of picking a wr with the 19 and 38 picks. If I take say Mike Wallace in the 2nd and Mike Willams in the 3rd round, then I have a chance in the short turn around 4th round pick of snagging a falling rb such as Shonn Green or Felix Jones or Ryan Mathews.

Then in the 5th round going for Chris Wells or Cedric Benson.

    So my team would be:

    Lesean Mccoy
    Bennie Wells
    Shonn Green
    Mike Willams
    Mike Wallace

    Good Idea?
