Yeah that's the one, although I do believe they're showing the game at all three locations on the big screen.

Side note, what were the problems with the one off Hwy 6? I've only been to the one up in Conroe, and for Conroe, it's pretty nice.

Kordell Stewart is an idiot, he just said we have a weak passing stack on ESPN...

I watched it. He wasn't being sarcastic. I can only assume he had a brain fart and forgot Schaub was in the division. At no point in his career has Collins played as well as Schaub has the last few seasons. It's not like he's going to get better at age 38 stepping into a new system.

Anyone know if Foster practiced today?

Yes, thank you - I'm anxiously awaiting the same news. How does the Chronicle not have this information yet?

    From Texans twitter on Foster:

Sounds like he didn't practice but it is encouraging. I don't think we'll see him practice full speed for a long time, even if he is healthy enough.

My guess is that we won't hear for sure. Friday'll be the injury report, but I'm expecting him to be listed as doubtful/gametime decision but that he'll suit up.

Hopefully, they treat him with kid gloves. Last thing we need is an endless cycle of putting him out there just to reaggravate the hammy.

With the Colts missing Manning, give the Ward/Tate combo a crack at it, shades of Oakland last year. Play it safe.

    I'd sit Foster week 1.

We'll win with or without him.

It's fine to think that way as a fan, but I don't want my coaches taking opponents so lightly that they pull punches. If Arian needs to sit a week or two, so be it. But if he's ready to play, you can't hold him out because you're assuming you won't need him.

Coach Kubiak on LB DeMeco Ryans: "He's 100 percent. He's going...We've worked the heck out of him and he's responded." - from twitter

I think Tate can be just as effective. You throw Big Ben into the starter role and he'll gain 1300+ rushing, 50 receptions, and double digit TDs.

IMO, it's not much of a drop off. It's not that we don't need Arian...but hamstring injuries are very tricky. I'd prefer to have foster come back week 2 and play the entire year rather than him come back week 1 and risk having this hamstring issue become a nagging problem through the year.

Sure, if everyone is certain Arian won't benefit from an additional week of rest, then by all means play him. I don't think it's that simple though.

Wow, Kordel stewart said that Kerry Collins is the best QB in our division (with Manning out). Is this guy serious I mean i know schaub isn't elite, but to say that kerry collins is better is just ridiculous:rolleyes:. And he still has Ind as favorites to win the division (w/o peyton).

I think they might not be comfortable with his pass blocking skills, tate that is. Why else would he not start? He's a stronger runner with more speed.

I would still start tate on rushing downs, who cares if I'm giving away the play, make the colts prove they can stop the run.

What made it even better was Hugh Douglas picked the Texans to take the division, then asked Kordell who he would take over them; "Miami?". Umm I'd put good Money on Jacksonville or Tennessee having a better shot to win the AFC South than Miami.

Yeah, that was a dumb and dumber "expert" analysis.

It would not surprise anybody , if we won the first game...lose the second game vs the Colts and NOT make the playoffs

    Deja vu?

Maybe that's why despite his performance in the preseason, he's listed as 3rd on the depth chart behind Foster and Ward.

But props to Steve Young for his analysis on the subject. He's the only one with his head on straight.

Kubiak wont go with the rookie (Tate is still technically a rookie) regardless of how well he performs...Kubiak is a conservative coach, he'll start off playing the veteran until that veteran proves to not be capable of handling the job. Then, and only then, will the younger player have a chance to show his stuff. Tate could have rushed for 500 yards in the preseason and blocked every linebacker coming in on a blitz and he'd still be 3rd string opening day.
