Says the guy whose school is the one filing a law suit. Josh is right. Baylor is burning bridges here. UT and A&M have been looking out for themselves, what BU is doing is more directly targeted at hurting another school. Not helping themselves, but going after someone else instead. I'd expect nothing less from Ken Starr, though.
First of all, I'm not Emperor Palpatine. He said it. Second...no one has filed a lawsuit...we're talking about schools not releasing claims at this point. That's all. The SEC wants A&M sooooo bad, that they won't agree to bring them in unless EVERY SCHOOL IN THE BIG 12 RELEASES ALL POTENTIAL CLAIMS AGAINST THE SEC!! Stop and think about that for a second. According to articles posted in this thread, BU isn't the only school that won't sign that release. BU isn't burning bridges..this is it's only play. It either sticks in the Big 12; finds a random lifeline to the Big East if Mizzou goes Big 10 or SEC; or ends up in a non-BCS conference. That's it. This is the only leverage it has, and everyone knows it. Too much money at stake not to play that card...they'd be a bigger joke if they just rolled over, and their regents would be breaching fiduciary duties out the ying yang.
