Yeah FiOS is going all in. On another note I would like to welcome Baylor to Conference USA. Look forward to catching your games at Robertson or Rice. Do you guys plan on firing Art Briles to get out of his contract or just hope he leaves for greener pastures?
The fact that they failed to do a good job last year - something that they've essentially admitted - doesn't change the fact that they are aiming to fix that now. Given that just last fall, Texas was hoping to generate about $3MM / yr for LHN and was close to a deal for just that partnering with FOX (who also manages the B10 Network), there are lot more people than Aggies that didn't realize how much they could get. And as of right now, that "people" is limited to ESPN. The actual people ESPN is trying to sell to don't seem to be interested.
Nothing new, but Loftin finally commented. Interested to see what their next step is, and/or if more big xii members step in
no way baylor ends up in conf. usa. if the 16-team superconference is the wave of the future, they'll end up in one of them (remains of big east/acc along with ku would be my guess).
lol. the fact that they failed to do a good job last week - something that they've essentially admitted - doesn't change the fact that they are aiming to fix that now.
Baylor does not have the fanbase or facilities to compete with Texas, Texas A&M, OU, Nebraska, etc. it is Conference USA bound.....one of the weak links of Big 12
Baylor will have to pick between CUSA/WAC. ISU will have to pick between CUSA/MAC. They'd both fit in pretty nicely with CUSA, Baylor in the West, ISU in the East. Mizzou to SEC and KU/KSU to Big East maybe?
Totally disagree. Baylor would not be acting as they are if they had a safe BCS landing spot. CUSA or WAC
the furthest they'll drop is the MWC. i'll bet my posting here they don't drop to conf. usa. but only if caseyh promises not to if when they don't.
i didn't say they had a safe landing spot and they might not know that yet. you don't let $15 million per year go. and you're also discounting that they are doing the dirty work for ou/ut right now.
i'm betting on posting on clutchfans. that's how sure i am that they don't land in the conf. usa. next i'll be hearing people think they go i-aa.
CUSA is actually the best landing spot for Baylor in a post-BCS world (academically, geographically, and monetarily). So, I think I'd back off the ledge a little bit if I were you.
Yeah but what is the bet exactly? The only way I can win is if they go to Con USA? You said they would go to the Big East or the ACC.
