I saw this on another forum. The are guys who don't play college football who can make an NFL team so what player from the NBA could play football? Here is my list: Lerbon - (WR/TE/QB) 6-8 260 against a corner back AI - QB/CB - Supposedly better than vick Steve Nash - QB CP3 - CB Drose - wr/cb Again good luck with 5-11 corner backs trying to cover him Wade - QB/WR Dhoward TE Shaq - Left Tackle Big Baby Right Tackle Nate Robinson - CB
Before there was Mike Vick, there was Allen Iverson. Dude was an unreal athlete. Lebron played WR in high school and I'm sure he could've been a taller, more athletic Antonio Gates. And Nate Robinson was supposedly a better Defensive Back than he was a basketball player. <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hCAkVvNFk-0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Charlie Ward played college football and won the Heisman Trophy, and the title with FSU in 93. He was the QB. He looks good in these highlights. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h62DS92aYnc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Two great NFL roles for a modern power forward include DE and TE. Typically, size/speed ratio is most realized in these two positions, due to the mismatches they create. DE prospects: Dwight Howard - would be unstoppable, and would bat down a great deal of passes at the line of scrmmage. Blake Griffin - translates to an even more dynamic version of Jason Taylor. Patrick Patterson - He could put together a plethora of power and speed moves to wreak havoc on opposing backfields. TE prospects: Luis Scola - would give it everything he has, and would probably be a reliable possession receiver. Blake Griffin (again) - would be an all-world TE Chuck Hayes - could be a brilliant blocking TE for short yardage situations.
Why do people always think Nash and Kidd can play QB? There are maybe 2 players in NFL history (1 being Ward, the other not being Iverson) that could even make practice squad on an NFL team at QB.
Can they do this during the lock out? I'm sure plenty of teams would love to sign some NBA players to sell some tickets.
Don't think they are good enough, and I dont think the players wants to risk the injuries related to football.
I don't know, they could sign like Kobe or Nash and have them kick an extra point in a blow-out or something like that.
