    Why was the goalie so far away from the goal? I know he goes out there to grab those types of balls, but that seems awfully far. still, stupid kick on the fielder's part. I guess as a defender he doesn't get to score a lot and wanted to get in on the action! (that's what she said.)

    Also De Gea should be used to picking up the ball from behind the net by now anyway...

    You can stray further out to cut down angles on the goal. You run the risk of having a shot go over your head like that and descend into the goal, but your risks of having a shot go left or right and into the net is a lot less.

    I still haven't forgotten this when stupid Steve Smith score on his own net. The Oilers could have won 5 straight Cups. That was painful.
