    Ok

I was bored, so I picked every game.

    Here is how it looked.

    AFC

    EAST
    NEW ENGLAND 13-3
    NEW YORK JETS 12-4
    MIAMI 5-11
    BUFFALO 3-13

    NORTH
    PITTSBURGH 13-3
    BALTIMORE 13-3
    CINCINNATI 3-13
    CLEVELAND 3-13

    SOUTH
    HOUSTON 10-6
    INDIANPOLIS 8-8
    JACKSONVILLE 7-9
    TENNESSEE 5-11

    WEST
    SAN DIEGO 13-3
    OAKLAND 6-10
    KANSAS CITY 6-10
    DENVER 3-13

I had Houston at 9-5 after week 15, while the Colts were at 8-6. The game vs Indy at week 16 was for the Texans playoff spot and division crown. Win and they were in. So I picked the Texans to win to go to 10-5. Colts go to 8-7. The Texans sit everyone for week 17 and lose to the Titans to go to 10-6. Then I picked the Jaguars to win to go to 7-9 because Del Rio wanted to coach next year. Colts finish at 8-8, and play Curtis Painter, because Kerry Collins was too drunk to play, and being a racist.

    NFC

    EAST
    NEW YORK GIANTS 11-5
    PHILADELPHIA 11-5
    DALLAS 8-8
    WASHINGTON 4-12

    NORTH
    GREEN BAY 11-5
    DETROIT 8-8
    MINNESOTA 7-9
    CHICAGO 7-9

    SOUTH
    ATLANTA 13-3
    NEW ORLEANS 12-4
    TAMPA BAY 9-7
    CAROLINA 3-13

    WEST
    ARIZONA 11-5
    SEATTLE 6-10
    ST LOUIS 6-10
    SAN FRANCISCO 5-11

I think I did the tie breakers right, hopefully. This is how it seeded out.

    1 San Diego (W) 13-3
    2 Baltimore (N) 13-3
    3 New England (E) 13-3
    4 Houston (S)10-6
    5 Pittsburgh WC1 13-3
    6 New York Jets WC2 12-4

    1 Atlanta Falcons(S) 13-3
    2 New York Giants (E) 11-5
    3 Green Bay Packers (N) 11-5
    4 Arizona Cardinals (w) 11-5
    5 New Orleans Saints WC1 12-4
    6 Philadelphia Eagles wc2 11-5

So this is how the playoffs go.

    NFC
    Wild Card
    6-Eagles 3-Packers
    3-Packers

    5-Saints 5-Saints
    4-Cardinals

    Divisional
    5-Saints 1-Falcons
    1-Falcons

    3-Packers 3-Packers
    2-Giants

    Conference
    3-Packers
    1-Falcons 1-Falcons

    Falcons NFC Champs

    AFC
    Wild Card
    6-Jets 6-Jets
    3-Patriots

    5-Steelers
    4-Texans 4-Texans

    Divisional
    6-Jets 6-Jets
    1-Chargers

    4-Texans
    2-Ravens 2-Ravens

    Conference Championship
    6-Jets
    2-Ravens 2-Ravens

    Ravens AFC Champs

    Super Bowl

    Atlanta Falcons at Baltimore Ravens

    I pick the Ravens.

So now you guys don't have to watch this season.

Something you guys don't realize who don't follow the Skins on a daily basis, is that we should be a good, not bad, team this year. Why, you ask?

Our running game: We have a 3 headed monster in the backfield with Hightower, Helu and Ryan Torrain. To give you a comparison, Torrain was our best RB last year. He would've had a 1100-1200 yard season had he been our starter ever game. He's even better then last year, and he's our 3rd best RB.

Our QB: Another year in the offense, another year to get more comfortable with our WR's, Grossman took the 2006 Bears to the Superbowl. They had a great defense but who the hell did they have on offense? Can you really name ANYONE on the offense from that season?

Our defense: We have bolstered our Dline, added in another terrific linebacker, and have DEPTH at key positions. The best safety tandem in the league, a top 10 linebacker core, a smart dline who gets pressure on the QB, a probowl corner in DHall and a solid CB in Josh Wilson.

We have a difference maker on the team, his name is Brandon Banks. We kept a remarkable 8 WRs this season, most teams keep 5.. Banks is counted as a WR but he really has his own special position, as KR/PR.

Everyone over looks the Skins because of the previous season. I understand, thats easy to do when they are in the same division as the "dream" team of football.

Hell, even Michael Lombardi picks the Skins to win the NFC East.

So, for Sundays game... HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

Your starting quarterback is Rex Grossman which refutes this statement.

    3 headed monster, really?

Thomas Jones was a 1,000 yard running back that season I believe. That sort of proves the point above though about Grossman being your quarterback, it is nothing to be proud of or brag about.

Washington did bolster their defense but Cofield has played in a 4-3 scheme his entire career. Being a NT in a 3-4 is a lot different than a DT in a 4-3. We'll see if he can adjust. Orakpo is a beast but besides him nobody really worries me in that group. The best safety tandem in the league? Even if Landry were starting (right now he is behind Atogwe at FS) this wouldn't be true. You can thank Cutler for getting Hall to the Pro Bowl too.

The fact that you kept 8 wide receivers should be worrisome not something to point out. KR? Will anybody be a factor on those anymore?

I'm sick of the whole 'Dream Team" thing. Young made the statement and the media has run with it and caused everybody else to follow too. Nobody in the Eagles organization agrees with it.

You know, somebody could pick the Bengals to win the AFC North and it means absolutely nothing, right?

In preseason, what you look for is how your 1's do vs. the other team's 1's. Washington was #1 in rushing with 1's playing against other 1's. Opponents were Steelers, Colts, Ravens, and TB.

Don't be fooled by the perception of how bad of a team Washington is.

    Drink the kool-aid, buddy.

Yeah but in preseason teams don't open up their playbooks and show you everything either. Add to that that some starters don't play or are out that trying to avoid injury rather than play all-out and preseason isn't exactly something I'd hang my hat on. I'm not saying Washington will be terrible but I am not buying that they'll be good based off of preseason games either.

Indianapolis goes 0-4 every year in the pre-season, then comes out and curbstomps everybody (well, when they were in their prime anyways). Pre-season literally means nothing. Teams are using their base offense and defense, and players are going about 50% of normal speed (unless they are fighting for a job). Washington is a lot like Jacksonville to me this year. They have some nice pieces, but they lack in consistent performers. At least Jacksonville has MJD....who is Washington's go-to guy?? I see anywhere between 6-10 and 8-8 in the cards for the Skins. And Lombardi only picked the Skins to get a rise out of people....if you think you're going to even touch the Eagles this year, you're in for a long season I think. That team is just way too deep and talented. Their starting 11 could give the NFC Pro Bowl team a run for its money.

Eagle's Im not worried about, huge gaping holes in their defense facing heavy tight-end passing teams. Their run defense should be pretty bad as well.

Giants have always played the Skins well, with their running game. I believe Washington's D has bolstered up enough to handle that aspect of the Giants offense.

Keep checking back in this thread as I will post updates during the season! And eat crow at the end if I have to!

Yeah he wont be out for too long. I feel like the Texans will take both matchups against the Colts but still end up behind them in the division ala 10-11 Raiders. Except I have the Texans making the playoffs.

    Hmmm.

I went 8-12 on picking the playoff teams.

    1 San Diego (W) 13-3
    2 Baltimore (N) 13-3
    3 New England (E) 13-3
    4 Houston (S)10-6
    5 Pittsburgh WC1 13-3
    6 New York Jets WC2 12-4

I picked 3/4 division winners. Hell, I even got Baltimore and Pittsburgh tied with the same record, and having Baltimore win the division. I picked Houston to go 10-6 also.

    1 Atlanta Falcons(S) 13-3
    2 New York Giants (E) 11-5
    3 Green Bay Packers (N) 11-5
    4 Arizona Cardinals (w) 11-5
    5 New Orleans Saints WC1 12-4
    6 Philadelphia Eagles wc2 11-5

Flip flop Atlanta, and New Orleans, and no one had a clue about San Francisco. It looks good.

    Man, I RULE!

Yeah, ToyCen, nice job. 5-11. Good one.
