freaking Indy, just throwing stuff out there. Manning is going to get some screws in his neck, ala frankenstein's monster and he will play. I hope he does play. You never want to see any one go down with an injury unless they're complete idiots like jared allen.
What would be interesting if true is that without Manning the Colts are the worst team in Football but also gives them the inside track to ANDREW LUCK. Imagine Luck being tutored by Manning for a few seasons???
My guess Hartmann is just cheaper, both sucked. I don't know why they didn't try someone else from free agency certainly there are better options.

Joke aside, the need for a great punter does decrease with better offense. Especially an offense like ours which is great at piling up yards between the 20s. So I don't particularly care either way. Our season will not hinge on the leg of any punter this year.
I'm wondering why we're carrying TJ Yates on the roster. Based on the preseason, he's not game ready and in the unlikely event Schaub got injured they could just call up Yates from the practice squad. Seems like they wasted a roster spot there.

Special teams can derail a team. Look at what happened to the Chargers last year, I believe they had something like the #1 ranked defense and a top 5 offense and didn't make the playoffs because their special teams lost them so many games.
