ON the other note.. Hedo is really ****ty for Turkey right now. Can't do a single thing for his team.

DD and jopatmc are the two that come to mind. With comments like, "he will be the next great NBA point guard", "he might be a top 5 all time NBA point guard", "he will be an NBA superstar", etc.

Like I said, he is the worst player on Turkey's national team. Just like, as I said, Belinelli is the worst player on Italy's national team and Rubio is the worst player on Spain's national team.

The level of suckiness that Hedo can achieve at times while playing for Turkey is truly painful to even watch. Rarely, have I seen a worse FIBA player (maybe not ever) than Rubio, Hedo, and Belinelli.

The stats you posted do not support this assertion.

Anyone who watches Hedo play with Turkey will support the assertion. In fact, Turkish fans are regularly pleading with their federation to not select him to the national team.

EuroBasket 2009 and 2010 FIBA World Championship - he was truly awful in both of those tournaments. He has really not done anything but hinder their team. When he goes out of the lineup they usually play much better.

Let me put it this way, the way Hedo played in the NBA the last couple of years, as bad as that was, is quite a bit better than he has played with his national team.

And if you want stats to support this, go look up some of his game logs from the previous two summers at EuroBasket 2009 and the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

yeah, I watched a bit of this game, and Teodosic looked really good.
also Nowitzki, scoring a lot, but his teammates didnt help much.

    According to eurobasket official site:

Game Hero: Milos Teodosic once again showed he is one of the top point guards in the world with his scoring, his ability to created opportunities for teammates and his willingness to crash the boards. He finished with 12 points, nine assists and nine rebounds, a truly sensational effort in 28 minutes.

Teodosic is an extremely talented and skilled player and he is far better than Rubio could ever dream of being. However, before this forum falls in love with him without knowing about him.....

Teodosic is a huge head case, he has a very bad work ethic, he is lazy, he has a terrible attitude, he regularly fights with fans of opposing teams in arenas, he argues with coaches, he is a very dirty player, he very often hits other players in the balls, he causes fights on the court, he is known to be a very heavy chain smoker, a very heavy party guy, and that he loves to get completely drunk the nights before game day.

He also has a very strong and well known rep for being a guy that does not work on his game and that basically refuses to play any defense whatsoever, in addition to being a guy that has a tendency to be a huge chucker that takes some of the most bone-headed shots you could ever imagine.

Basically, he is an enormous talent, with very questionable character, attitude, and work ethic.

His release is pretty good. It has room for improvement, but that's what you want and expect from a 20 year old kid. Sometimes he brings the ball all the way back to his head, other times he brings it back 3/4th of the way which is not bad. I guess it depends on what kind of player he can be in the NBA. Right now I see him as a spot up shooter, so a more natural form would do wonders for his shot.

Yes you wouldn't want him on a working team, but I jsut brought him up to show the guys how superb Euro PGs dictate games and have an incredible allround-game. DD should watch one Serbia game and then a Spain game to see Teodosic vs. Rubio. He would hopefully never talk about Rubio again, if he's not completely blinded by bad scouting reports, Beijing final and U16 matches.

Serbia vs. France today, hope Parker is able to play. Teodosic vs. Parker would be exciting to watch.

Serbia vs. France starting in few minutes. Parker will play, so prepare for an epic matchup vs. Teodosic.

DD is one of those fans that only watches Rockets games and thinks he is some kind of world basketball expert. You are talking about the same guy that constantly says here "Euroleague = MLS, NBA = Premiere League", only he spells Premiere League wrong.

His entire extent of international basketball knowledge is watching Team USA games. He even commented before here that Barca versus the Lakers did not count because it was a pre-season game, then said that Greece versus USA "proved Spanoulis cannot play in the NBA", even though it was a friendly, which unlike a pre-season game is not even a competition.

A pre-season game, especially one between the Euroleague champ and NBA champ is a pure competition (the Lakers even admitted that they have everything to win), while a friendly is nothing more than a pure practice scrimmage, and where basically every teams besides Team USA is not even trying to won. Team USA is the only team of the world that views friendlies as real games.

Don't even waste time trying to use logic with DD. He is the true and classic definition of NBA only fan. He repeatedly claims that the Wolves are "vastly superior players" to the Spanish national team. The guy cannot be reasoned with.

Agree, it’s gotten boring already. Please NBA, negotiate your crap already and give us real basketball again.

This kinda shows what is wrong with so many NBA fans. They are not fans of basketball itself and the fundamentals, tactics and teamwork, they just want to see big athletic guys create highlights with dunks, blocks, tattoos, yelling and trashtalking. How can you watch games like Serbia-France and seriously say this isn't "real" basketball? Some of you guys don't know anything about this sport.

Contested 3 for 96-95 with 24sec to go in 1st overtime, this game is just sick.
