Glad we won, but this game did not boost my confidence in the team very much. It's nice seeing some real offensive sets though. And Shipley Jr. looks like he could be a real player. Gilbert's arm is really nice, but he takes forever to make decisions and has zero scrambling ability. Not a good combination.
The Rice band is like a bigtexxx post. It's really not even funny anymore. It's all they have though, so props I guess.
I could have sworn I saw a flash at the bottom of the LSU vs. Oregon game saying OU, UT, Texas Tech, and OK State are exploring going to the PAC-12. EDIT: I guess they were just posting the speculation out of some Oklahoma newpapers.
Need more Brown! Now that I've rewatched his plays, this kid gives me hope. Finally it looks like we have our stud RB we've been wanting for a while.
Aw, come on. It's not trolling if it's legitimately funny. Huge Texas fan (and alumnus) and I laughed. Ash is the future. The offense and defense both looked sketchy at times. They're learning entirely new systems (and not just the freshmen). Compared to watching the Davis-bubble-screen-crap-a-thon, this was as entertaining (although stressful) as I could imagine for a first attempt.
Oh, trust me, I lol'd hard. Rice's band delivers a real gut buster once every 3-4 years. This was one of those. I just find the concept of a marching band being trolls to be even funnier. If only texxx were as funny or creative.
Was at the game, and from a Rice perspective it is what it is. Props to the Longhorns -- we hung for a while, but UT just wore us down over 4 quarters. Still, it's great going to a live football game again
