All I can think of is Sears, and man I hate Sears. Everything seems like a huge ripoff any time I've ever comparison shopped them. We don't really live in an era of appliance repair anymore it seems. Buying a new one isn't really an option. Anyway, just wondering. Google hasn't been very helpful. (I'm in Austin in case anyone is tempted to make a Houston suggestion) Thanks!
You can check into local appliance repair shops if the appliance isn't under a warranty or anything. It might be a little cheaper, but if not, could be worth the couple of extra bucks to not deal with Sears.
Quick Google search: Fleshman Appliance Repair... seemed to get good ratings on yelp (5 stars on 68 reviews). Hope this helps!
Is Centerpoint out there? We have their Home Service Plus package and use them when necessary. Even if you don't have their package, they probably have referrals.
if you cant repair it then just go to an appliance store and buy a used one..there are a lot of good used appliances out there..i spent a total of 300 bucks on a used washer and dryer and they both work like a charm. usually the places that sell used appliances fix them as well.
Are you absolutely certain buying a new one wouldn't be less expensive or time-consuming than a repair?
Buy more expensive crap then. It is less likely to break down and easier to fix when it does. Oh wait, you don't want a 2K dollar dishwasher? Ok. Nevermind.
