12-4 either the number 1 or 2 seed in the conference and a super bowl contender.

I don't think this will be the case. If, a big if, they can start out stronger than averaging 9-10 points in the first half, then it won't be so close at the end that one play alone will lose the game. Kubiak is worth 2-3 bad plays a game, and one of those is usually on the defensive side.

Plenty of reasons to be optimistic, but I'm cautious and I don't trust Kubiak to lead this team to its full potential. 9-7 which is an improvement over my early offseason prediction of 7-9 or 8-8.

Until we prove otherwise, offensive consistency, playing 4 quarters of football, is still an issue.

I agree on the record but I still think we lose first round.

This team lost a lot of close ones last year. With all that new talent we'll easily get over the 'hump' if you will. 13-3 will even be in play for awhile until the team starts to get complacent in December, and then obviously from lack of experience Kubiak's going to be completely overmatched in the playoffs. He has shown based on everything he's done here in Houston that he. needs. a. LOT. of experience. before he can get anything right.

But the entire team would have to get decimated by injuries for us to screw this one up. The coaching is there to win every game. Lack of composure will cost us the only games we lose.

If we make the playoffs it will be so badass, because there's nothing like hometown NFL playoffs. When you have a horse in the race, it makes it a hell of a lot better. I just think we will lose in the first round. The feeling after an NFL playoff loss is like no other in sports IMO. It SUCKS! I just feel pissed/letdown for awhile afterwards because its one and done.

I think 10-6 gets them into the playoffs and I think they win one playoff game...

why would they stomp us? I'm telling you no "elite" defense can stop this O, maybe they can stop it for 2 quarters, three at most, eventually schaub and associates will get theirs.

I guess we should forget about the Giants and Cowboys games last year.

What is this "Week 17" business?

    Superbowl, baby

(11-5 or 10-6 is probably realistic, but I'm expecting our boys to finally turn it around this year and make everybody eat s***.)

If we do anything less, I hope Kubiak gets tarred and feathered, carried through downtown Houston to be laughed at and spit upon, and then laid on some traintracks to be run over while an old-style villain twirls his mustache and rubs his fingers together (outside of town so his corpse doesn't continue his job of stinking up the city).

    GO TEXANS!

Well, you don't have to worry about them until the Superbowl. Is Rosencopter still on the team? It almost felt like the giants were in the huddle with schaub.

11-5. Kubiak fixes the mistakes he's made in previous seasons and Wade leads the defense into the top 15. I think we'll lose an easy game but we'll make up for it against a tougher opponent. The Texans always are full of surprises.

Playoffs and anything less of the AFC Championship game will be a disappointment.

That's with no major injuries to major players...

    (Texans 12-4 + Kubiak 6-10 = 9-7) X (McNair + Texas heat) = 2yr extension

I feel comfortable with 12-4 as a record plus AFC championship game

I actually predict the Texans will go 9-6-1, but I was not sure how to vote for that as you don't allow for ties in your records.
