I disagree completely. I feel if Mchale got something out of Dipsh!t Darko in Minny, then he can at least get one or two blocks a game out of Thabeet.

Wheres Thabeet? Has anyone heard anything about him lately? I'm still hoping that he can get something together worth using. We've heard about most other Rockets.

Unfortunately it IS possible to downgrade from Darko Milicic.... Loren Woods, Pops Mensa-Bonsu, Maciej Lampe, Joey Dorsey, David Andersen, Hilton Armstrong....

David Andersen wasn't that bad. Stick him to a team that could use a three point shooting center and watch him produce. But what I liked most about the guy was that he had a don't push me attitude. If we had a strong rebounding 5, hopefully, something Motiejunas can be, I wouldn't mind getting Andersen back, if he's still as good as he was.

    Granted.

It remains to be seen if there's the same difference in drive and IQ. Hopefully.

It is just bizarre how quickly people give up on players these days, some of them take time to develop.

CD said his footwork was awful but he was doing great in practices, this lockout crap is probably hurting him the most.

That could help, and working with someone like Deke would help too, actually Yao would be a great fit for him with his size etc.

It would be real good for him to work with Yao and hakeem also. he could learn some post moves from both of them

I say we just throw him out there and see what happens. If he does any good, then McHale's a genius. If he does terribly, then we have a glaring hole at center (like we already do). It's not like we're going to compete for a championship anyways.

    I would be satisfied with 8pts, 9-10rbs, 2+blks a game.

It is obvious that he will not be a scorer like Hakeem. The person he needs to workout the rest of the lockout with is Deke. Deke will get him where he needs to be at this point in his career.

I'd never give up on a 7'3 athletic beast, the potential for defensive presence and points off offense boards is undeniable.
