This is a thing that changes when time passes. The NBA was huge not long ago in the Jordan era so I don't see why it is impossible for it to surpass MLB. Just like there was a time when Baseball was king nationally.

As long as the NBA continues to tap into the international market, it will only grow larger. That is the one of the few things it(stern) has done right, the NFL is sort of limited to the national market and I don't see it ever tapping into the international market.

Now if only they can diminish the 'tainted refs' image people have of the league and get to capitalizing off the successful season they just had.

Yeah, but I just think of the NBA that's a good product but under suspect management.

I think the ref thing has turned a lot of people off of the NBA. Whenever I try to talk to a casual fan about basketball a lot of people think it is fixed or that there are teams that Stern wants to win. I think that has hurt the NBA more than primadonna players because really...the primadonna players are the big draw. The NBA has always been known for it's personalities.

I don't believe the NBA was bigger than MLB even during the Jordan era.

This. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
