At first I was nah, then I was like yeaa! What do you guys think, 10 team league, pick 8, 50 dollar buyin, reigning champ! QB Philip Rivers, SD QB Draft RB Ray Rice, Bal RB Draft RB Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG RB Draft RB/WR BenJarvus Green-Ellis, NE RB Draft WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR Draft WR Mike Williams, TB WR Draft TE Kellen Winslow, TB TE P Draft OP Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buf QB Draft D/ST Falcons D/ST D/ST Draft K Neil Rackers, Hou K Draft Bench Mark Ingram, NO RB P Draft Bench Jeremy Maclin, Phi WR P Draft Bench Chad Ochocinco, NE WR Draft Bench Pierre Thomas, NO RB P Draft Bench Michael Bush, Oak RB Draft Bench DeMarco Murray, Dal RB Draft Bench Colt McCoy, Cle QB Free Agent
The only QBs left are Garrard, Hasselback, Henne, Alex Smith and Jason Campbell. I dont draft players in the AFC South so Garrard and Hasselback are not an option. Can you really say any of the other 3 have more upside than McCoy? Plus he is just an insurance policy.
I guess everybody in your league took a backup QB during the draft, normally my leagues have 1-2 people who don't take a backup and end up finding one later. In your case, I would've took a flier on an RB or WR instead of a QB you could've got on the waivers whenever you needed him. Especially since you got a top 5 QB. Oh wait, you have 2 starting QB spots? Hmm.
Yeah for the op we can start any offensive player. Not sure who is more productive between Fitzpatrick, Ingram and Pierre. Yeah the top 12 qbs are gone by round 3.
You had nice picks but I honestly can't agree with Charles at 2. Ryan usually goes around the 60's could've gotten Rivers or used that pick for a better WR, maybe Megatron or Wayne. Honestly I think you reached on all your top 6 picks except Jackson. Just some friendly criticism
10 man league. Starter / Bench QB: Peyton Manning (32) / Sam Bradford (72) RB: Michael Turner (29) / Jahvid Best (52) RB: Beanie Wells (89) / Jonathan Stewart (129) WR: Andre Johnson (9) / Brandon Marshall (69) WR: Calvin Johnson (12) / Chad Ochocinco (92) TE: Dallas Clark (49) / Rob Gronkowski (109) K: Neil Rackers (149) DEF: DET (112) / SD (169) DL: Justin Smith (152) LB: Stephen Tulloch (132) DB: Jarius Byrd (172) Peyton's status is shaky so I went ahead and drafted a safe backup in Bradford somewhat early. Beanie was a steal at 89, with Hightower gone and the Cardinals 2nd round pick Ryan Williams (RB) out for the season Beanie's going to have a load of the carries. He compliments the Burner who should have another great season bar no injuries. If anything I think I'm pretty good in the backup department with Best and Stewart (who was there at 129?). Andre and Calvin Johnson make up a monster WR core with Marshall and Ochocinco as backups. I feel like I'm set at TE with Clark and Rob. Detroit's defense is looking very good with a massive D-Line (Fairley, Suh, Vanden Bosch), a run stopping LB in Tulloch and a pretty solid secondary ran by Louis Delmas and Nathan Vasher. Let's hope the Texans don't curse Rackers, who actually is a great kicker.
1. Where did you draft Peyton? 2. Don't get too excited about Wells. Whether he gets carries or not, he sucks. Same goes for Ryan Mathews.
If Beanie stays healthy, he's at best an RB3. I think Mathews is a good back, but for whatever reason he hasn't spent enough time developing his body at the next level which will lead to injuries.
You have a great PPR team, unfortunately you're not in PPR. Daniel Thomas might be a big TD guy, who knows... I like Hightower too. What WR's are available in FA? Looks like you can either trade a back for a WR or Kolb later on if he catches fire. But your WR spots aren't even close to bad since you only have 2. Also, how did Foster slip to 5th?
14 Team, H2H, Non-PPR and all TD's worth 6 1. (14) Drew Brees (NO - QB) 2. (15) Michael Turner (Atl - RB) 3. (42) Antonio Gates (SD - TE) 4. (43) Ryan Mathews (SD - RB) 5. (70) Marques Colston (NO - WR) 6. (71) Percy Harvin (Min - WR) 7. (98) A.J. Green (Cin - WR) 8. (99) New York (NYJ - DEF) 9. (126) David Buehler (Dal - K) 10. (127) Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB) 11. (154) Michael Crabtree (SF - WR) 12. (155) Mike Williams (Sea - WR) 13. (182) Visanthe Shiancoe (Min - TE) 14. (183) Atlanta (Atl - DEF)
Thanks for the advice. Foster slipped to 5th, luckily, because I'm playing with a bunch of Cowboys fans who believe that he sucks. They've always hated the Texans and the Rockets which might be due to me constantly insulting the Mavs and the Cowboys but whatever, I was pretty happy about the pick but it was before this whole MRI tweet thing going on. Some WR's available are Roy Williams, Earl Bennet, Malcom Floyd, Burleson, Meachim.
Yeah, no kidding. It was an autodraft, I only set my rankings for the first 100 or so players. The Buehler pick is incredibly dumb.
