Hilarious video on A&M's move: <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/JsjhgE9CK4Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
lol like you pointed out all of this started because of texas...looked to LEAVE for the pac 10(so much for tradition), UT sticks with big12 as long as it get to plays by its own rules(wow what a deal for the rest of the teams), and again A&M agreed under a certain guideline in which UT failed to abide by, A&M is looking out for itself just like UT has been and is still willing to play them whats the problem?
Give it up ... No one will ever acknowledge we are allowed to do what is best for us ... We should have stayed so the LHN could run the Big XII and to keep Baylor out of the Southland conference ... Doesnt matter that we are in a better position God Bless Loftin!!
LOL - good one I think it has been acknowledged a thousand times that this is in the best interest of A&M financially. Only time will tell if it's in the best interest of the football team. A lot of people don't feel that it is and their entitled to their opinions. Some of it completely justifiable judging off A&M's track record for over the past decade. This story got old a few weeks ago. I'm more interested in what moves the conference makes moving forward.
Haha ... Im just messin with ya on that. I am just poking at the folks that cant acknowledge any benefit to the Ags on this move and are basically saying we are only doing it out of spite. I actually understand Baylor trying to keep this ship together, but the Big XII ship sailed when UT ran off Nebraska. Aggies are entitled to our opinions as well and ours are really the only ones that should count in making this move. Some folks (Ken Starr) act like A&M is just being evil to the little ole Big XII. We've made our bed ... Time to see how comfy it is. Im sure we will be just fine.
what guideline is that? the guideline that they didn't expect ESPN to back up a Brink's truck and unload in Austin for the right to partner in LHN?
do whatever you want...that's not the point that ths balla is making. he's doing what i've seen every aggie i know do (aside from ziggy on this board); attempt to "blame" all of this on UT. "it's UT's fault!! not ours!! they started that LHN, after all!!" that's what i'm responding to...not the notion that you're doing what's best for you. that's up for disagreement/discussion.
This all seems reactionary on A&Ms part, they are butt hurt over last year's flirtation by UT with the Pac-12, and are now saying screw it, we will look out for ourselves - which is not bad, but they seem to be overeacting here, going to the SEC as a 2nd tier program is not going to help them out. What will they do to their fight song now? LOL.... What I don't get is why the Big 12 is not fighting back, why are they not being aggressive and pursuing their own super conference. If you are going to sit idle, you are going to get trucked. DD
Yeah, I get that, I just think they jumped in the wrong direction......they could have worked a better deal for themselves rather than becoming the Texas Tech of the SEC. DD
This is the most press the Aggies have received since they openly rooted for UT to beat USC in the national championship game.
Wow ... talk about revisionist history. Butt hurt over flirtation by UT with the Pac-12? We were all set to go to the SEC last year and Texas did not want to allow that so they dragged everybody back into the Big XII in a ruse. Is Texas going to change their fight song too? Its obvious why the Big XII is not pursuing their own superconference because they only way they could do it is to end up with teams like SMU and UH. No one else wants to come into a conference run by one team. I know you UT fans seem to think it is just A&M crying and running away, but the fact of the matter is that no one else in CFB likes what UT is doing either. No other conference will touch UT with that Network and its current provisions that prevent them from being a part of the "conference team". Why would any team worth anything want to joing the Big XII? The only reason BYU is even an option is because they are Indy and never were in an AQ conference. UT is so arrogant and cocky that you actually thought there was even a 0.1% chance that Notre Dame was going to drop their national schedule to play in the Bevo-10.
How about the SEC add Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State? It'd force some realignment in the division but wouldn't that work?
