Where do you take your pets? Around how much is it per pet per day?

Used to leave them at Love and Care in College Station. Now, my sister and brother in law watch them.

don't like the idea of a kennel (even if one pays for the extra "walks/day" it's still terribly restrictive) & at close to 200lbs, he's too much of an imposition on others' homes.

If i'm only gone a few days, i have a neighbour feed him (my Dogue's an inside pet w/a doggie-door to the backyard- an armoire fits through )... if i'm longer, i get a house-sitter.

Pets on trips are super expensive. Flying with the cargo exposes them to extreme heat/cold and many die. If small enough (like less than 12 pounds), they can fly under the seat in a carrier. That costs between $70 and $125 each way, and most of the time, they count as your carry-on, which adds another $20 - $25 checked bag fee.

Yelp search Houston Dog Sitting and you'll get some decent hits.

No one has said what they really feel.

Put them down and get a rescue dog when you return.
