    Already reported as definites:
    Harrell
    Shuck
    Lyles

    Likely:
    B. Wallace
    C. Johnson

I'd also expect a 3rd catcher, which I assume would be Towles.

Only Harrell is confirmed but most expect Wallace, Johnson and maybe Fulchino. Don't expect anyone outside of the 40 man roster. I'm sure they will also call up another catcher so Towles or Espisito.

On yea Lyles and Shuck as mentioned above.

He got sent down to move to the bullpen for the rest of the season with the understanding they would call him back up in September.

I know it's unlikely, but I really hope they sit Carlos as much as possible and let Wallace play out the year at first.

I don't care if I ever see another Johnson at bat again. I'm on board with Paredes, mistakes or no.

I would love to see anyone take over at C over Q/Corporan.

Don't get fooled by one good stint by a rookie. Let's not forget Morgan Ensberg, Richard Hidalgo and Luke Scott. All these guys provided us with awesome starts to their career and then soon after they were worthless.

↑↑J.R. Towles and Chris Johnson are far better examples. Ensberg, Hidalgo, and Scott all had more than one productive year (Scott actually had a couple decent seasons for Baltimore, too, after being traded away for Miggy).

Luke Scott? He was very good in his rookie year, and has been an above average player up until this season, and that is due in part to a torn labrum he suffered this season.

Ensberg actually *improved* after his rookie year and had three productive seasons before falling off the map.

Hidalgo's breakout year was his second full season of starting, his fourth in the bigs, and he had a couple productive years after that.

So none of dude's examples were good. I'm sure he meant to say, "Towles and Johnson."

I still cannot believe that the Astros are playing Lee at first base instead of Wallace. Their goal should be trying to figure out what these young guys can do, and Wallace's performance has been a big incomplete so far. Yet instead of providing more AB to analyze Wallace, they stick a guy out there who they know will suck and get paid big bucks to do it.

Jason Michaels and Angel Sanchez continue to start...what does that tell you?

While I agree that relative to his contract, Lee isn't very good ignoring his contract Carlos is having a decent season and if you remove April...it's above average.

Actually, Lee hasn't sucked lately. .292 ba / .404 obp in August. In fact, April was his only bad month. No, he isnt hitting a lot of home runs, but he is doing decently at most of the other things.

Despite this, I agree that I would like to see Wallace play 1st, at least the lions share of it. Mills seems to favor vets and those doing well lately. Lee actually fits into both criteria, so its no wonder he hardly gives the guy a day off.

Still though, I have a hard time understanding the brass being on one page and the coach being on another. That is, one fully into rebuild (brass), and the other giving regular playing time to players (coach) that wont even be around when things matter in 2-3 years. Truly, how much meaning does it have if Lee, Jmike or Barmes help us win a couple more games this year? None. On the other hand, how much does it matter that we sort out who can help us in the future? A great deal.
