So I still have some leeway between getting this or keeping the EVO 3D. Going to be tough to decide.

I just got my girlfriend one a few days back. She absolutely loves it. I'm thinking bout picking me up one. The sound on them are great and watching inception on it is like watching it on my 56 inch tv. The picture on video is just crystal clear. Worth every penny

That'd be a bad guess sucker. Best phone on the planet right now.

4.5 is too big. In fact, I'd prefer 4" (that's what SHE said )

But the Droid Prime is coming. I'll just switch to Verizon and get that instead (or the iphone5).

Great tablet but crappy OS. Windows 8 can't come soon enough.

    Wut?

I'm gonna try and get this on ATT when it comes out but I might have to wait till my upgrade October 25, which by then this will be irrelevant.

This phone has been out for a while and rumors are the next generation is due out next spring.

I'm on the same page as clutch. Waiting on the sidelines to see who wins between iPhone 5/4s & nexus Prime

If Verizon is putting the Droid name on the Nexus Prime, it's going to have to be an exclusive to the carrier for a decent amount of time, considering how much they protect that brand name. I'm also going to be very interested to see just how Verizon is going to F-up the phone. I totally wouldn't put it past them to load it up with unremovable bloatware, lock the bootloader, prevent OTA, early-release updates and not release the phone until late November, so that they have time to clear out their iPhone 4s stock. Basically, take everything that makes the Nexus project phones good, and crush it under their big red boots.

I thought it was supposed to be exactly like the Nexus phones- no bloatware, locked bootloader or anything like that.

Google won't allow that to happen. A Nexus device is different from others because it is pure stock AOSP, with no carrier customizations, UI, or any **** like that.
Plus, if it's made by Samsung again, it's not going to have a locked bootloader.

It may be named a "Droid", but I doubt Google allows big red to murder it

Sigh, it's probably the apps on it.

Yes, the original Galaxy S had flaws, but this is entirely different.

It is. People are just confused. Plus, if you're tech savvy enough, you can get rid of **** on your phone.

On the brightside, Samsung used the linux based EXT4 file system on this one.

I'm well aware of what the Nexus is supposed to be, but I definitely wouldn't put it past Verizon to flex their corporate muscle and mess up the phone. They completely botched the Galaxy S I, and again, if they put the Droid Name on a phone, you can bet it will be a carrier exclusive.

If they release a standard CDMA Nexus Prime at the same time as every other carrier, then I take back everything I said. But I'm still skeptical at how much leverage Google has over the cell carriers. This isn't the iPhone, that does so many sales that Apple can dictate terms to the carriers; this is a phone line that has been a relatively sluggish seller. Could you possibly see Google compromising in order to get it on Big Red?

Motorola Milestone 1-3 (Available on several regional carriers) is also known as the Motorola Droid.

The Milestone X on US Cellular, is the Droid X

If anything, Verizon will have the exclusive name but not the rights to the phone.
Yes, you do have a point in which the Nexus sells weren't fantastic, but up until about 6 months, it was still on America's ****tiest network - T-mobile which probably explains why.

If this is done correctly, it could be big again for VZW. Just like how VZW pretty much made Android what it is in America now.

Samsung is making the next Nexus, aren't they?

    HTC, Samsung, Samsung, Googorola

and factory stock Android isn't exclusive to Nexus, G2 and G2x share that characteristic
