I always liked the Miami announcers, they are some of the best local announcers IMO, not too biased, and they genuinly get excited when the other team does something spectacular.

This is probably the best game I ever attended - I was up in the nosebleeds but it was right behind Maxwell in line with the basket when he took that shot. Knew it was money when it left his hands.

Rockets record after that game: 18-1

They'd go on to be 22-1.

(And still not get 60 wins lol) Though 58 wins that year is still the team record.

Were we losing by quite a bit before this? I remember being at a game where Maxwell hit a shot like this, almost everyone had left since it looked like we were going to lose. A buddy and I snuck down to the lower level and sat about 3 rows back center court, we were stoked because we got to watch the overtime sitting in some prime seats. I always thought it was against Miami but it's been so long ago.

One of the Rockets almost face plants in the last couple of seconds of that video lol. Watch the top right corner of the court.

It may have been. It was a pretty lackluster effort until the final few minutes, behind almost the whole game.

I remember going to this game as a kid. My dad said he didn't want to go to games anymore because this one got his heart pounding like crazy...

We need this game with Rockets commentary, the Miami announcers are good but my guess is Worrell and Calvin are going craaaazzzzyyyy!!

You know what struck me about watching this? I forgot Rony Seikaly existed and at his best he'd probably be a top 5 center in today's NBA. Hell, his back up, Matt Geiger, might crack the top 10.

Haha, some dang ugly passing in that OT. They don't let people press that close nowadays.

Agreed. Always thought that was a great call. "Impossible, implausible, incredible...". Great alliteration.

Max was just unreal with those threes late in games. Ice in his veins. Kind of amazing that we didn't win 60 that year after the historic 22-1 start.
    Haha. True.
