If you aren't going to use that coupon, could I have it. I need to buy a computer for my Father in law.
They send the email if you signed up for their notification. I got an email and never placed an order with HP.
I'll be royally ****ing pissed if my order is cancelled, I got that letter oomp posted as well... but I think it's just an automated letter, because my work e-mail received this letter too, even though I did not order a touchpad from that account My order was placed 8/21, their automated phone system says all touchpads ordered before 8/22 4:00am will be honored... and every time i read someone picked up a touchpad at a retail store long after thursday last week, it angers me soo much
Not quite sure but Best Buy is trying to buy the remaining stock of the touch pad as we speak... So be on the look-out for them to release some information soon...
HP just said they were going to have one more production run with the touchpad to fulfill demand and that they won't be available for a couple weeks. I do remember reading some rumors that HP still had TPs in production due to contractual obligations. Sounds like they are trying to paint that as a favor to consumers who didn't get a TP. I'm pretty sure this is the source, but the link is getting hammered.

They had some WIP, and if the $99 covers the labor to assemble, they can defray some costs by building them instead of scrapping the parts.
My order from DataVision NY along with 6,500+ other customers were just canceled today, after the company "promised" every order would be filled. They held on to my money for ten days throughout this whole process and also my hopes of finally getting a tablet. Never doing business with this company ever again.
Like most folks, I don't think you ever would have in the past or even in the future used this company to purchase anything. So no big loss for them.
