Manning's deal is front loaded. He will get $23 million per season for the first 3 years then $20 million over the last 2. $40 million guaranteed isn't that much considering things though.
Didn't know that. Leaves him a good chunk of change though. He doesn't have to pay it all back right now does he?
i don't know, now that plaxico burress is playing, its just athletics. once you're proven, if you have anything left after going through an ordeal, you will get to play. not that i didn't want plaxico to play, i couldn't care less. i just thought he physically wouldn't be able to
Aren't those pre-return numbers because a large chunk of the $8 million he earned went to pay some of that debt off too.
how much could he owe? $8MM is a lot of money already espcially considering he had to have paid cash down payments for some of the items
right on time. per this vick owes about $20MM, $6MM to falcons, $6MM to agent. edit: this is the guy who came up with the 11%
This is a good piece on how he mismanaged his money. Who needs enemies when you have friends like this? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6...-easily-nfl-players-go-bankrupt-espn-magazine
The "100" in the $100 mil deal is SYMBOLIC and strictly for appearances. (He'll never get that full money cuz of special clauses). Still a nice story that he's able to earn back what he has.
