Take it for what it's worth. Heard @ a local mosque tonight that Hakeem's mother is ill (Hakeem was also in attendance). Hoping the big guy's mother feels better. Just thought I'd share this here. Lock if inappropriate etc.
I'm not sure how Hakeem would feel about this being on a message board, but nevertheless - may he find peace and comfort.
Best wishes to Hakeem and his family. It's hard losing a parent/family member, I hope she gets well. He has brought joy to many.
This is the part of the internet I find distasteful, there is no place for this on the BBS, it is a personal matter, very private. Not meant to be posted, IMO. DD
kind thoughts and prayers, that's what make it appropriates, not cry baby hypocrisies..... this is soooo distastefull .. blah blah blah...
I find it funny that people think they can say whatever they want emphatically and then write "IMO" at the end of it. There is NO place for this in the BBS
I agree, but ultimately this is Clutch's call alone....not yours, not mine, his... Thus the "IMO" at the end...... DD
Sarcasm is lost on you my friend. Just sayin, I don't think Clutch is going to comb through the forums saying "Man, this person must think it's their call since they didn't state that it was their opinion". All hail Clutch!
Lost my mother recently, bless her, so I can relate to what Hakeem and his family are going through. Words are meaningless, granted, but I hope she recovers, and if not, that she goes peacefully, with her family around her. We care, because we care about Hakeem. We don't know his mother, but we all feel like we know Hakeem. That makes it personal for the denizens of ClutchFans. Some won't see the sense in that, but most of us do.
Yeah, whether or not I was ever meant to know that "a highly admired and sports legend's mom is ill"... the info's here now, so as respectfully as possible, best wishes to him, and stuff.
well..why is it ok to post about horry's daughter and not this? Both are very personal matters. i think the thread just needs to be moderated with zero tolerance for any negative posts. I dont think Dream would mind prayers and/or well wishes.
It is Clutch's call, but it really isn't, it's Hakeem's call and unfortunately he isn't here to make it; in the meanwhile there's no reason to politicize this whatsoever. Good etiquette and class would suggest posting best wishes, prayers, or hopes, or if you think they're meaningless, post nothing. In the unlikely event that he ended up reading this thread I think he would appreciate positivity more than conflict. All the best to him and his family.
