My strategy this year was to take Freeman + Kolb or Orton late, but when Manning slipped to round 7 I had to take him. Still got Freeman for insurance. Hopefully I can trade Manning later in the year for a RB/WR 1-level player. Anyways, Manning is slipping. So is Johnson.
this...peyton's bound to have a bad and/or injury-filled year. in most of the mocks i was doing before hand, he was falling that low. johnson fell to 8 in our league.
I wound up taking Johnson in 2 leagues where he slipped to 7, which meant I wound up with a great RB1 + RB2 situation. Had no fear taking the guy, just made sure to pickup Ringer late. Its easy to get Ringer. Coupling Tate with Foster, not so easy. Tate goes way too high IMO.
League Type:CF League IV Draft: Live 10 Teams Non PPR, 1 Flex (W/R) Draft Slot: 4th QB: Manning / Flacco RB: Charles / Hillis / Mathews / Woodhead / Delone Carter (R) WR: Larry Fitzgerald/ Mike Williams / Wes Welker / Kenny Britt / Malcom Floyd / Mike Thomas/ Crabtree TE: Dustin Keller/Gronkowski K: Vinatieri DEF : New England Defensive Playersosluszny/Ware/Ryans/Rolando McClain Not sure about Manning but he was the best QB left on the board at the time. Is Hillis an okay RB2 or should I be trying to trade for a better RB? What other things do you guys think I should try to improve on?

This isn't my team, and the guy didn't draft it but just made a large trade with someone else. I tried to veto it, but I guess not enough owners paid attention and it went thru. Default ESPN League: QB Aaron Rogers RB1 Rice RB2 Blount Flex Desean Jackson WR1 White WR2 Wallace TE Gates D Steelers K Hartley Bench: QB Sanchez RB FJackson, WR ABoldin, LMoore TE ZMiller, Graham Trade was White, DJackson, Blount, Rogers, FJackson, ABoldin for Big Ben, FJones, PHarvin, VJackson, MRyan, JHarrison, JFord. Got the other guy's 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 for his 3,5,6,7,8,10,12
I use this one as well. Your skill position players look so much better when you get that QB in round 6 or 7 as opposed to round 2.
The dropoff from... lets say QB3 to QB10 is smaller than RB3 to RB10. Last year I targeted Rivers (QB6-8). The year before that it was Rodgers or Shuab (they were lower tier). Always works well for me. My only fault is that I cant bring myself to draft Big Ben. I hate the way he looks. Not pretty enough to be a QB IMO.
first fantasy football for me 9 team league QB-Mike Vick/Josh Freeman RB-Arian Foster/Jahvid Best/Brandon Jacobs/Beanie Wells/LeGarrette Blount WR-Larry Fitzgerald/Calvin Johnson/Sidney Rice TE-Dallas Clark K-Matt Bryant Def-Green Bay Def player-Charles Johnson Any suggestions would be great...lots of good players still on the market...lemme know which ones i should pick up to help my team I was thinking about picking up another wide receiver as Kenny Britt, Michael Crabtree, Austin Collie, etc are still available.
i'm a complete newb to fantasy football, doing a league with some friends this year. any tips? looks to be head-to-head scoring type, prob about 8-10 teams depending who all joins. is that just a standard league? 2 QB slots, 3 WR slots, 2 RB slots, TE slot, kicker slot, defense, and the bench? if i'm one of the top picks, should i be looking to go RB or QB?

Your team looks solid, and even though I don't like Ryan Mathews I cant really argue with him as RB3/flex. Well balanced. Deep at QB.
