    Its noticeable the illegal defense rules allowing for more single coverage in the post. I do think that woulda helped Yao Ming more if he played in that era (though whats it matter if the guy can't stay on the court).

    Would that mean Hakeem would be a LESSER player in today's league? No, because the competition at center has also lessened, so he'd still get his just like how Shaq still got his. Just its hard to think of a player who coulda benefited more than Yao.

    Sadly, there were countless terrific games by the Dream, post 1986, that were a pleasure to watch, but led essentially nowhere.
