Great. Our kick returning has been abysmal.

I wish Yates had gotten more passing opportunities. Wanted to see the kid play more.

fair enough but even if he plays, despite how great he is, he will have had no full speed work

Kick returning around the league is going to be abysmal with the rule changes. Five yards doesn't seem like all that much, but history shows it should cut TD's by something close to 10x, increase touchbacks by 2x to 2.5x, etc. on down the line affecting every aspect of kick return.

    That's a good strategy.

You'll get to see him plenty Thursday night. You shouldn't be surprised you didn't see him tonight. We all know how Kubs operates during the preseason.

I know it's preseason, but the Texans LEAD the NFL in SACKS and Forced Fumbles.

I think the blocking might be a bigger issue.

Really starting to like this defense. Who are our latest bandwagoners? Get on while you can.

Non-existent. He had a big 0 on the stat sheet.

Oh well, if we let him walk next year that's going to leave us a lot of money to address other areas.

The texans look like super bowl contenders, and they look like they believe it too.

Gonna be a fun year i think.

Exposed for not watching the game.

Pressure the qb on several throws. Statistics don't always tell the story.

Well, as Han Solo once said: "Good against droids is one thing. Good against the living is something else." The real test for the Texans will come later (I don't expect other teams to sit back and allow Schaub to sit in the pocket and rip them apart with ease) but for now this was a good effort. They are taking to FixIt's defense faster than the Cowboys are picking up Ryan's defense. SF was absolutely pathetic - completely noncompetitive. Whoever posted that they were playing to draft Oliver Luck may have hit the perverbial nail on the head.

He actually got a huge hit on the QB for a sack, but a penalty was called because they said it was helmet to helmet on the QB. To me, Mario looked WAY better this game than the last two. He was reacting much quicker off the snap.

No doubt he looked better and hopefully continues to improve. But the Texans might want to move him to DE eventually for the best of the team.

The Texans are really, really good.

The 49ers are really, really bad.

I have to say, no matter how bad they are, it was super refreshing to see them held to 19 yards in the air in the first half. Sweet Lord, that was a beautiful graphic on my television.

Did you not watch the game?

He looked pretty good out there, considerably better than last week. He's been improving at a pretty good rate this preseason, and that's all we can really ask for. You don't learn a completely new position overnight.
