See the first post. There are some links on how to do some of those things. First thing you're going to want to do is install Preware on the TouchPad.
old news is old as noted already, fix is out for that. Just double-checked, hulu still works on mine. once preware is installed, you will see all those patches I listed under "patches" installing them is just a matter of clicking Install. it really is easy Donny, you are more than smart enough to do this.
If anyone wasn't able to snag one of the official hp folio cases for $20, you can get a cheap ipad alternative. Just bought this Technocel Leather Flip Book Folio. It works better then the other Ipad cases since it doesn't block the camera, ambient light sensor and bezel, which is needed to use the gestures. You can get it for $10 at verizons online store. Picture doesn't match on verizons website, but slickdeals confirmed its the right case.
Even though I don't have a touchpad, I'm going to buy a case to carry around so people can think I got in on the deal of the century. It'll be like Dexter Manley who used to carry around a newspaper even though he couldn't read.
Just ordered a case. Thanks for the info. I haven't been able to find any of the official HP cases here.
all the official updates (there are a couple in the Software Manager as well) and everything listed here: http://www.zdnet.com/blog/mobile-news/how-to-improve-the-performance-of-your-new-hp-touchpad/3866 then some of the ones 2k listed from Preware, like the download manager for example. Its not quite iPad speed obviously but much better than it was oob
