It'll be nice to have bandwagon fans, cuz you have to actually WIN first!<a href="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php" title="Smiley"><img src="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing025.gif" alt="Smiley" border="0" /></a>
That's what happens when you're not doing windmill dunks, throwing down alley-oops, making risky passes or doing flashy crossovers. I think that's another reason why Martin is so underrated and not viewed as an "all star".
Monta Ellis does what K Mart does with the "flash" and inefficiency to boot. But he isn't viewed as an All-Star because he doesn't bring his team to contention by either dominating both sides of the court(Kobe) or just being SO good on one side (Melo) Also, how many times does it come down to last play(s) of the game and K Mart takes the ball and creates his own shot? Yup.
Well there's that, and there's the fact that he doesn't wear a smug scowl and parade himself around like certain players. He doesn't earn himself any polarity (fanboys and haters). Everyone just agrees he's a quiet, solid scorer. I'm alright with that.
You guys acting like there's no world outside the Rockets and Texans should check out some Aeros games. For a cheap sports fix ($10-12) it's a lot of fun. Sure, they're a AAA team, but try something new. You might find out hockey is a heck of a sport. (FYI the NHL/AHL seasons are both 82 games October-April and the playoffs are the same format as the NBA, too). Hey, it's just a suggestion. The Rockets are my #1 sports team but I play & love hockey.
Heck yeah, there's always that too. I like college ball more than the NFL, personally. RGV Vipers... not my cup of tea. Speaking of that, is the D-league going to play?
so maybe we should not trade this guy. maybe we should sign and/or trade for more defensive help instead.
This has been my suggestion all along. Surround him with a couple of two way and all defensive players and you've got yourself a pretty good squad.
Nice pic, the stadium looks awesome like that. I've only seen it in regards to concerts and the Rodeo. But I do prefer baseball and basketball, even if they're not in contention.
I've been to several Aero's games, very entertaining. The fights, smashing into the glass, the cheerleaders and a few drinks! I took our 10yr olds son baseball team and they had a hell of a time and the price was right.
As far as Kevin, he's truly underrated. He has a great attitude scores a ton of points and seems to be a great teammate. With all the contact he draws, I just hope his body holds up and the get him someone to complement his game.
