i hope he takes the job so we can wait 2 years and see how the rockets "bottom level talent" and "know nothing puppet coach" can compare with "elite draft picks" and "hall of fame coach".

if clutchfans is correct, rockets will still be stuck on "mediocrity treadmill" while timberwolves become a dynasty.

I'd like Adelman to coach a contender, but coaching jobs are hard to come by. And, I'm not surprised to see him consider the T-wolves. After all, he wanted to come back to Houston even though we had no shot at contending.

The Wolves have some pretty promising players; their only trouble is that they are so young and inexperienced. They'll be able to sign or trade for veteran help a lot more easily than the Rockets will be able to trade for a franchise player. And Adelman would be great for them. They may not become contenders, but they should get a lot better pretty quickly.

Btw, I was reading about Kahn's career the other day and was surprised. Worked as a sportswriter for years, then gets a law degree and starts working in an NBA front office, climbs the ranks and becomes GM. Even if he is a terrible GM, you know the sportswriters criticizing his moves have got to be jealous of his personal success.

Adelman has some good pieces to work with. Love will be great in the high post. But I'm not sure he's going to like Beasley or Rubio to be honest.

I repeat the same "garbage" because all I ever read on here is the same stale garbage:
    "Hall of Fame coach"
    "all time great coach"... etc.

Finally the Hall of Fame garbage stopped after it was pointed out for the 10th time he is not in the Hall of Fame.

He is a good coach, been doing it a long time, and knows how to win... however, he is not an all time great coach.

The guy has been blessed to coach a lot of very talented players, something that is conveniently overlooked....off the top of my head...

Drexler, Webber, Peja, Yao, T-Mac, Drazen, Kersey, T. Porter, C. Robinson, B. Williams, Mullin, Price, Sprewell, Divac, Bibby and Gerald Wallace... and others.

If he does goes there, we can expect more trades between the rocks and mini.

RA likes to bring in players that have played for him and know his system. Heck Brad Miller is there already.

Players that would prob trade there are

Kmart, Scola, Lowry if it is for Rubio (which i doubt will happen).

I wouldnt mind RA going there if we can snag a few players from Mini.

I'd want Darko Milicic, Beasley or Williams and Randolph.

Kmart for milicic, beasley and Randolph. That would work money wise and would solve our Center problem if we cant get Gasol and We could move Beasley to SF, and Clee would be the starting SG.

Mini needs a sg. So it might work

Then I would turn around and package
Randolph, Flynn, thabeet, Hill, Twill in anything that can land us a star.

That is probably why he will take this job.. just to stick it to Dmorey. I think he isnt willing to develop bad players.. ie: Thabeet. Or he isnt willing to develop their trade value only to have the player be gone at the deadline...

I do think he is willing to develop good players.. ie: Lowry, kmart (at sactown), Patterson got some burn and so did Budinger. Knuckle heads like Twill and Thabeet he wants nothing to do with.. i am just guessing here.

Yes, you need good talent to be successful. What is your point? That he didn’t win a title with his good talent? Again, not easy with rigged WCF, going up against GOAT talent, and injuries to Webber, TMac, Yao… He is a COACH, not a miracle worker. And yes, he is an all-time great coach who gets the most out of the talent he has and who will end up in the HOF -- Jerry Sloan’s gotten in with zero titles and Adelman has a higher win percentage in both regular and post season. You must get pretty exasperated when guys like Morey and Clutch call him the same thing.

"Adelman, an established, Hall of Fame coach,"

"We have mutually agreed to part ways. He is a Hall of Fame coach."

But I’m not sure why that’s a reason to troll every Adelman thread saying he’s desperate for money and finding his son employment. We get your point by now...

Agreed... was Phil Jackson a great coach? Look at the players he had (MJ, Pippen, Kobe, Shaq...).

Adelman succeeded with the players he had (and often times, didn't have).

Come on now, don't let the facts get in the way of a good anti Adelman rant.

I bet he'll win 35 games with that crew. Adelman is a winner, he even made our group from last year a winner. I love the team, the players and the organization, but that team last year should have only won 30 games.

That exact post could be said about Phil Jackson, and with players with more talent than any of the ones you mentioned.

Except Phil has won 11 titles....

Adelman has been fortunate to coach very good players, and he has won in most of his stops. He is a good coach, he is just not all all time great coach.
