How big a group is "one of the best"? He is certainly a quality coach but he has been let go by a number of teams and has never won a title.

If he goes to Minnesota it will be for the money and so he can keep his family members employed.

Adelman’s coaching resume speaks for itself. No he didn’t manage to win a title, but that’s not easy when you’re up against crooked refs or Jordan’s Bulls. The bottom line is, he’s very good at making the most out of the talent he has. And being let go of by teams where he’s the franchise’s highest winning percentage coach (Blazers, Kings, AND Rockets) doesn’t tarnish his accomplishments either. Sorry you can only see the “stains” on his coaching legacy without putting anything in context, but it doesn’t mean you have to repeat the same garbage over and over in every Adelman thread.

Brad Miller called up Adelman and said "you owe me one. I came to Houston to hang with you, now you owe me one back."

From the interviews and comments made from Adelman and the Minny crew, it seems like they are litterally on their hands and knees begging him to come. Hell, they probably traded for Miller, just for the chance that Brad would convince Adelman to come up North.

At this point in Rick's career coaching the TWolves just doesn't make sense, but what human on this earth is going to pass up a few million dollars?

Look for the Wolves to overachieve like we have been.

Love is a good fit in Adelman's offense.

Their entire team is a pretty good fit.

If we thought Patrick Patterson looked good in that offense, imagine what Derrick Williams can contribute.

He will do wonders for guys on that team, since they are primarily offensive minded players. And yes, Love will take his game to another level offensively if Adelman is indeed the Wolves' coach. Young players like him need good coaching to take their game to the next level.

If Adelman can truly groom Love into a more dominant offensive player (he really isn't right now despite his 20 points) and put a brain in Beasley's head, the Wolves can easily win 30+ games.

The NBA is about stars. The Wolves have 1 budding borderline superstar in Love, and a budding borderline all-star in Beasley (if his head is right). If both play at the highest level, which isn't impossible with great coaching, the Wolves will be MUCH better than they were. And you have a ready to play rookie in Williams.

I see Adelman getting a ton of praise next year for turning the Wolves into a 30+ win team next year.

The sad thing is as much as Minnesota is screwed up they are probably in a better position than the Rockets for the long term.

Still Aelman deserves better. Don't take this job RA.

Being a student at Arizona, I'm a huge fan of Derrick Williams and would be curious to see him and Rick working together. Williams is a great offensive player and with Rick he may really flourish. Also as previous posters have said, Love would do great with him too.

On the other hand, I feel as though Minnesota needs more of a long term coach now, one that will stick with them. With Adelman's age being what it is I can't see him in the league for more than a few years at most.

Love, Rubio, Beasley, Derrick Williams, Darko, etc. I hate to say it, but the Wolves have more franchise players and guys who can become Superstars than the Rockets. All they need now is a decent bench and they're a legit playoff team for the next several years.
