You're trying to compare them on their individual merits. Individually, Ellis is a better player. But they aren't playing one on one. With the team I have around Richardson, he'll be very effective so it doesn't make sense for you to dismiss Richardson just b/c Ellis is a better player.

Maggette and Brewer have played head to head 13 times. Maggette averaged 19 ppg on 54% shooting. Brewer averaged 9 ppg on 48% shooting.

No its not. Not at all. If a player averages 2 mpg and 2 pts, his "Per 36" will have him scoring 36 ppg. Do you think that's a logical extrapolation? And that still doesn't address your players' weak effeciency.

Nene will be 29 years old. Wilcox will be 29. Garnett will be 35. Richardson will be 31. Maggette will be 32.

Out of all those players, the only one with an age concern would be Garnett, but based on his performance last season, it shouldn't be an issue.

Oh, and Brewer's teams went 10-3 in those 13 games.
